I agree Steve. Lets moan about today and completely forget about the rest of the unbelievable season we have had.
I honestly give up!

We got a proper shellacking. But we're seventh in the top flight. Bad day, brilliant season. The players are human after all it seems.

Plenty to moan about today Steve.
As long as it's kept relevant on just today, then there shouldn't be a problem.

It is possible to moan about a woeful performance whilst appreciating what a fine season it's been.

Arsenal have a superb, almost flawless home record in the league this Season. 47 points GD of +34.
Second only to City., United would have to win by 6 goals in their last home game to equal Arsenal's home record.
It's Arsenal's shockingly bad away record that gave rise to the expectations that we might get something out of the game today.
Arsenal have conceded 20 goals at home this season.
Everton, who are likely to finish 8th conceded 10 (5-2 home 5-1 away) against Arsenal.

I laughed all through the game yesterday and remain happy, they were unlucky to not score a few more.
I am still smiling because, guess what, we are still placed 7th in, arguably, the best league in the world.
Oh and we are still going to get a kick around on our well earned and deserved European Tour.

This is the typical retort of a liberal/ do-gooder type, they only like their opinions to be heard and not the alternative.
But FWIW yesterday people are especially allowed to be critical of yesterdays performance considerinng the time and expense of making the trip to support our boys.
If we had nothing to play for then perhaps the club could/should have subsidiesd yesterdays experience for everyone, considering we appeared to be going through the motions.

Can you imagine the grief on here next season if we finish eighth?
We should line up The Samaritans as shirt sponsors just in case.

The issue with some and myself is that we would not expect such a lack-lustre performance from a Sean Dyche team. I know the players are tired after their heroic efforts this season but Arsenal players will have have been as well. Just shows we really need some good strengthening for next season.

There's no chance, the team are exhausted and there's nothing to play for, apparently.

I said to my Arsenal supporting Japanese mate before the game kicked off "this will either be 5-0 to Arsenal or 2-1 to Burnley". It was plainly obvious very soon into the game which it would be. We were not at the races but no complaints or `moaning` from me. I think it would have taken machines not to have switched off after the Everton result, safe in the knowledge that we were in Europe
I`ve had my issues throughout the season with certain things but there is no taking away from the magnificence of finishing 7th in the Premier League. Beyond ALL our wildest dreams. The players fully deserve a pass for yesterday`s performance/result.
Well done Clarets!!!!!

Basically, when we are not as successful next season (which is very, very likely) then people who are kicking off about yesterday (not those who have just mentioned that it wasn't great once btw) will the the first kicking off about it.
Just one of those things

Why is this not understood? In all the threads on the topic I have not read one single post that is a downer on the team or the monumental effort, or the incredible management skills of Sean Dyche.
The point is that SD himself makes such a thing of minimum expectation being maximum effort, sweat on the shirt, general fitness levels, and everyone jokes about Dyche-fit. These are his brand values. So it was an unfortunate thing to say because he contradicted his own values that we love about him. “Nothing to play for” should not be in his lexicon.....
..... and that’s it. SD sets the standard, some are merely pointing it out, that’s all. I don’t see any negatives there, nor any lack of appreciation for an incredible season’s work.
And I would add about next season I find it hard to believe anyone really thinks this is somehow a new base and we become a top six. Top ten would be a great season (again)

The OP starts a thread moaning about people moaning ...
Everyone agrees this season has been great.
Most people will be more than happy with a lower place finish next season which is highly likely.
People who have spent time and money to go to London and watch us get turned over without a fight want to critique the performance.
You can actually agree with all of this without being a 'moaner' or less of an uber fan and you might have even watched us in the 4th Division

I wish to moan about this post.
Where does the 50 years come from?
44 years ago we finished 6th.
Thus missing out on a UEFA Cup place (to Stoke City) on goal average (who remembers how to calculate that?).
Oh and we also got to a F.A. Cup semi final.
Surely 6th is better than 7th?
