Surprised that Ageyi has been given a new deal. Didn't seem to make much of an impact at Walsall or Blackpool although i appreciate it can be tough for loan players

on the assumption than Wells won't be here next season I'd like to see Dan get a chance at the weekend

Why do people think we will get rid of Wells ? He cost serious money and with not playing will be difficult to sell .We have given players away in the past but none costing as much as Nakki

Agyei is a quality player. Just seen his highlights after his loan move. Scored some good goals

Agyei is an odd one. He’s a big strong lad so his age really shouldn’t be holding him back. I can’t help wonder whether he’s good enough but his commitment to try and earn a place in the team is admirable. That determination could be the extra few percent that help him to break through.

I can’t think of any reason why but in any case he can’t. Already played for two clubs this season.

Can't think of any reason why we should give Dan a game ?

When you see the level that the likes of Agyei and Hendry have been unimpressive at, it gives you an idea of the kind of gap between the quality of our first team and the players beneath them in the pecking order.
It's going to be a long time before Burnley get the next promising "one of our own" but that's probably a good thing considering how long people keep hold of Rodriguez being a claret when he isn't.
Hopefully I'm wrong but so far all our youth development has come to nothing. We even let go some players who were performing very well for the (under)development squad.

For any doubters, SD must fancy Agyei is in with a chance of making the step up. There's no other logical explanation for giving him another year.
In SD we trust.

Apart from the fact that we aren't allowed to, why would we want to play him? He couldn't get into the Blackpool team.

Well why give him a new contract when he will never play for the 1st team ?

He's played in the first team - or had you missed that - I was just pointing out that currently he's not been considered good enough to play for Blackpool so why play him this Sunday, and in any case he's not permitted to play. There has been no suggestion from anyone that he will NEVER play for the first team.

I think we both know he will gone after next season . This will be make or break for him like you said he couldnt even get in the blackpool team so seems very strange keeping him . I know he has played for the 1st team he has probably had more minutes than nahki wells

I thought he might be released and was surprised, but it is only a one year deal this time which means he's going to have to impress. He got 7 starts plus 11 sub appearances for Walsall in League One, scoring four goals. He went to Blackpool and went straight into the team for his debut but he came off just past the hour and didn't start another game but made 8 sub appearances. He didn't score for Blackpool.
He''s still only 20 so he certainly has time on his side. To be honest, I haven't seen him play at all this season but I was hoping he'd get more football on loan than he did.

Both are out of contract so wouldn't be surprised if they were released to be honest.
