Where have we been linked with Vydra?

I think there’s something in the Rodriguez link because of the variety of sources, so I think that’s a safe bet.

Agent_claret says we have agreed a deal for a Newcastle player. All done, so we will see.

I think it'll be a winger, but I can't pin point who, possibly McClean/Phillips

I just hope that there's none of this shenanigans with players agreeing a deal in principle but waiting until near the end of the window(Agent) in the hope of securing a better deal elsewhere.

The obvious one would be chancel mbemba. Looked one of Newcastles best players the year they went down, but isn't a Benitez player.

I haven't seen much of him but what makes you say that? He is indeed Championship level at the moment because that's where he plays. What makes you think he can't make the step up, out of interest? He seems to have had a good season with Derby.

I think our first signing will be a West Brom player - they'll need the money to bolster the squad for next season I guess. I'll go with Dawson.

He scored for fun for Watford in the Championship. When they didn’t get promoted he had a season in the PL with Baggies and scored 3 in 23. Went back to Watford and scored the goals to get them into the PL. They then got shut to Reading for the season.

Derby are selling Vydra too, apparently. I've liked him since I saw him at Watford, don't know why, he just always stuck out for me. Think he'd be a good player and different to what we have now.

Fair enough Piston. Maybe he deserves another crack at the PL (I'm not particularly advocating him though). He's only just turned 26 so still relatively young. I'm also happy to trust SD on whoever we sign.

That's what Agent_claret said the other week about us signing a Newcastle player, and it being all done.

I just think it'll be a winger first and if pressed I'd guess at Phillips or McClean.
