Taking the missus to see Ed Sheeran tonight for her birthday. We're planning to make a day of it with a few bevvies in Manchester beforehand so we'll be getting public transport. Trouble is, there's no way of getting home afterwards by train or bus. This is a long shot as Sheeran seems to be hated on here, but is anyone else going who might want to share a taxi?

He's expected to finish at half 10 (according to the M.E.N.) so you might be able to make the last bus....

If he's off stage for 10:30 and by the time you got out of the stadium you will be struggling to get back to Chorlton Street for 11 for the last bus I would think.

Yeah, if it was at the M.E.N. there's be a chance but it's the Etihad.
Uber it is I think.

I've done it a couple of times before. Go along the canal, watch out for "The Pusher"! About 40 mins, quicker than an hour.

Uber's going to be your best bet I'm afraid. You might be lucky and get an Uber pool and save a bit given how many people will be there at the time, but you're looking at £50 minimum for your fare.
If you've not used Uber before, sign up using a referral code and you can get a chunk off that.

Drive to city centre, park on Boddy's car park (£4.50 for up to 12 hours), wander around
the centre, drink free, (saving even more money), walk along canal bank to Etihad, endure
the concert, walk back along canal bank and head home sober, a lot better off financially
with your ears ringing.
On second thoughts, get p!ssed so you can tolerate the concert.
Seriously, enjoy your day whatever you decide to do.

It might be quicker walking along the Canal to get to the centre from the Etihad.
Just be careful you don't bump in to the pusher.

Good old Padiham cabs - picked us up from outside Print Works at midnight and had us home by half past for 40 quid! Uber was showing up to £90 at that time
