Championship playoff
Re: Championship playoff
Fulham certainly deserved it. They're a good side. Well done to them.

net spend of £2M in the summer, definitely bought promotion compared to our net spend of £5M in 15/16.bfcjg wrote:Brilliant another American billionaire buys a promotion, that said so has a Chinese billionaire and a Malayian billionaire this season.

still find it bizarre the team winning the play offs get a trophy when the team finishing second doesn't

We did for finishing 2nd behind Leicester. They changed it a few years ago.Vegas Claret wrote:still find it bizarre the team winning the play offs get a trophy when the team finishing second doesn't

Always the same, for a good indication of how much time he spends on the ground you just need to look at the colour of his shorts in comparison to every other player. You would think he'd been playing football in a pig pen.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Grealish would be a good player if he didn’t dive constantly.
If he gets tired of playing football he could mount a serious challenge to Tom Daley for a place at the next Olympics.
Should have been a good game, but Villa didn't bother to turn up and even when Fulham went down to ten they never looked like scoring.

Re: Championship playoff
Was fortunate to attend this yesterday. Had pretty much everything - The noise of 40k of each clubs at Wembley is really something to behold. Nice to experience such an occasion from a neutral objective, even though I was rooting for a Villa victory.
Having witnessed Fulham’s display in the flesh I think they’re more likely a top 10 team than relegation candidates. Especially if they keep Sessegnon. They are bound to spend plenty of money.
They showed plenty nous and character to defend their lead, even with 10 men, Villa played well in the second half but overall too reliant on Grealish. Feel for Bruce, he’s had a rough time losing both his parents this year and I’d imagine that cauldron yesterday was not an easy place to be. Good club and fans Villa, hope they can do well next year.
