A bit surprised that they batted with it being so humid and the ball as you would imagine is swinging around.

Broad bowling brilliantly.

With you there, Ty.
When I'd seen they'd gone out to bat, had me looking at the weather forecast again!

Strange both captains that have won the toss have chosen to bat in overcast conditions,of course England haven't batted yet so we'll see how they cope if conditions remain the same.

I've always assumed that it's almost a given that you bat 1st unless the conditions are extreme. I'd be interested to see the stats.

I reckon Sarfraz is regretting winning the toss. I’d imagine England would be in similar bother had we batted.

England might still get a bat today with wickets tumbling. Woakes again justifying his selection.

Mallan just dropped catch off Broad in slips, would have been double wicket maiden.

174 all out, first test wicket for new lad Curran. The away team threw the bad in the last half hour and hit a few boundaries.

Could still be a competitive total, not a bad effort from 80-7,now let's see what England's batsman are made of.

Got a good ball though,no disgrace he played well and did the job an opener should do in seeing off the new ball.

Yes.
It wasn't a bad delivery.
They've sent some good ones down throughout.

Still disappointing though.
They way our batsmen have been recently, would have been good for both openers to post big scores.

A much better performance by England, credit where it's due.
Bowlers and batters both performed but batsmen have still work to do tomorrow

Shame about Cook falling late on,but a much better day for England even if they were assisted by Pakistan choosing to bat first, the morning session tomorrow is vital, the ball is nearly 40 overs old but if Pakistan can get reverse swing as happened at Lords, and pick up Root early then it could still be game on,England ideally need a lead of 100+ as chasing anything around 150 in the fourth innings could be tricky.

199/3 at tea after the earlier delay productive day for England, should have a healthy lead by stumps, can we just play Bess as a specialist batsman.

Really strange Pakistan did not insert England when they’d had them on the ropes last test.
A complete failure of psychological understanding and they are paying dearly.

A decent effort by England's batsmen but so far no-one has managed to get a fifty let alone a ton. They all get in then get out!
