Look at the list of winners since 2000 and you’ll know why.

When the champs league failures drop in, it becomes more difficult.

But then when you look at the list of runners up and see Fulham, Middlesbrough, and Rangers in there, it looks a bit more hopeful - put it on each way perhaps?

Anybody else heard that UEFA want us to play with a closed CFS because our wooden seats don't comply with UEFA regulations....worried about flairs causing them to catch fire!?

No, I don't think anyone else has heard that. I don't think UEFA are quite as stupid as that.

I would love to see your link to UEFA
The seats are that old and wet they wouldn't catch fire.

BBC Sport article saying prize money for playing in Europa League has jumped from £350M to £490M from this season, with each club receiving a share.

Article 18 from UEFA's rules (2018 edition)....seats must be made from unflammable material.....is this where the whispers I have heard have stemmed from?
I didn't claim to have a "link to UEFA" but do have a friend of a friend link to BFC....just asking from what I have heard no reason to believe or disbelieve it!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44378346 that one i guess it's vague about specifics, but i suppose should be good news for participating clubs.

"Non-flammable" means "not easily ignited and does not burn rapidly if it is ignited". You couldn't set fire to those seats by holding a match to them, so they're OK.

Does non-flammable, flammable, inflammable and unflammable all mean the same thing (with the exception of unflammable obviously, as it's not a real word).

Just seemed to me too random for somebody to have looked through the rules to make up which made me think there could have been something in it. I'm sure it will be resolved (if true) as I can't see the club allowing such a large part of the stadium to be closed

Is that being said in a positive or negative way?
Will Dyche play a full side? I think I’m right in saying that in 6 years he’s only ever played a first choice team in a cup game once- away at Man City this season.

Just had an email from UEFA champions league mailing list.
3 of the following sides will be entering the EL 2nd qualifying stage following the preliminary, 1 venue, stage...I'd fancy going to any of these, tbh!
Seeded
FC Santa Coloma (AND)
Lincoln Red Imps (GIB)
Unseeded
La Fiorita (SMR)
Drita (KOS)

We can't play the first two as they are seeded?

Trakai is beautiful. That would be a nice spot. And they do the best pies ever. Home from home.

A ball was taken from each pot and put into a large empty bowl in the middle, where they were shuffled. The first drawn club is at home in the first leg.
Reckon this will be the same procedure for us?

My source tells me that UEFA were at Turf Moor yesterday and were being quite stern in saying that the wooden seats in the Cricket Field and Bob Lord would have to go should we make the group stages.

yeah but we all know that if anything happened at Everton it clearly wouldn't be their fault - "eh, eh, eh, it was the
fire that was flammable not the wooden seats, you cant pin the blame for anything on us like, just like our red neighbours..."

Also, the toilets in the CFS are not up to scratch and work will have to be done on them.
The turnstiles require signs showing banned items too

So, if anyone actually believes this we'll have about a week between the last qualifying match and the group stages to rip out about 7,500 wooden seats and install 7,500 plastic seats.
Very do able!

I read a post a few weeks back that we won’t make money from the Europa League, apparently we can negotiate individual TV Rights as its not pooled at this stage from our home game so that should cover any costs.
