Does anyone know where he lives? I only feel it right to console his 19 year old wife.

RIP Peter, my mankini will be flying at half mast today.

Always seemed a proper down to earth fella ,spoke a bit of common sense too and enjoyed the parody , I shall be wearing a tiger skin in his memory , a life well lived .

Started the important (King) Mojo Club back in the 60's - similar time to Twisted Wheel.
The forerunners of everything that came after - respect.

Think his club in Leeds was Cinderella's/Rockafellas. Whenever we went to The Dante Meeting at York races (works do) we always ended the night there. Went for about 5 years running. John Charles was in there every time. Early to mid 70's.

I was looking on here for the first person to say 'is he stiff yet'?

Seriously well lived guy. Oh to be the owner of a top London nightclub in the 60os, most of us would think we'd died and gone to heaven. Don't think I ever saw a picture of him without his arm around an absolute stunner (or 3).

Say what you want about the guy but, in an age of retrospective accusations and indictments for sexual predations and misdeeds, Ican’t say I ever even heard of an accusation of sexual impropriety aimed at the man, and I bet he slept with hundreds of women in his life.

Absolutely right. He seemed like a really good guy.

Retrospective accusations tend to be targeted at people you wouldn't want anyone to know you had any contact with. Such as Stuart Hall or that Weinstein chap. Not the likes of Peter Stringfellow or Julio Iglesias :)
