You do talk quite a lot of crap to be fair, I very much doubt, you put it across like that, and he answered in that tone.ClaretAndJew wrote:Duncan Bannatyne once denied that people were going hungry in the UK, told me on Twitter I was talking crap.

Other than that, it's a none story, that hasn't contributed to the thread what so ever.

You were right, he told me to prove it instead
I know how you feel.MACCA wrote:I'm rarely wrong.
Do you not believe there are people starving in this country? I think the influx in use of food banks is enough but :Damo wrote:Can we see the tweet where you proved it?
From your own link.ClaretAndJew wrote:Do you not believe there are people starving in this country? I think the influx in use of food banks is enough but :

So too many families are struggling to fulfill their children's nutritional needs, or, they are hungry.Damo wrote:From your own link.
"Although the general availability of food is not a problem in any of these countries, too many families struggle to satisfy their children’s nutritional needs,”
No, look again. It says "the general availability of food is not a problem"ClaretAndJew wrote:So too many families are struggling to fulfill their children's nutritional needs, or, they are hungry.
Something being available doesn't mean people get it.Damo wrote:No, look again. It says "the general availability of food is not a problem"

But that's not what ClaretandJew stated. He's saying Bannatyne said people aren't going hungry. The reason behind matters not, it's still a yes or no. And it appears to be yes, with some people. Which suggests he (ClaretandJew) was correct.MACCA wrote:Due to their parents life choices
Have you considered the fact that many parents, especially in the Burnley area, are on low wages which haven't kept pace with inflation. Also, many in-work benefits have been cut and this is really hitting the working poor. No doubt you'll dispute this, Mr Rarely Wrong, but I couldn't give a toss because you come across as a bit of an arrogant prick.MACCA wrote:Due to their parents life choices
That was never the argument. The argument was hungry, not starving.MACCA wrote:I'm hungry now, I'm not starving.
Starving insinuates people are going to die from lack of food.
First part - yes I have, and those that are doing their damndest get my full help and support, the deserve all the help they get, to get by.Billy Balfour wrote:Have you considered the fact that many parents, especially in the Burnley area, are on low wages which haven't kept pace with inflation. Frustratingly I am unable to find the link however I have previously read something around the number of families who struggle to feed their children yet at least one of the parents are smokers! It’s life choices in so many casesBilly Balfour wrote:Have you considered the fact that many parents, especially in the Burnley area, are on low wages which haven't kept pace with inflation.
