Is my memory playing tricks or did we one reveal our New Strip on the Fixture Release day?

I was told yesterday that we don’t announce stuff like new signings or do we release the new kit whilst “Darren Bentley” our social media guy is on his holiday, going off his social media he’s away in Jamaica so don’t expect to hear anything just yet
It is amazing though that given where Burnley Fc are right now we still rely so heavily on Darren Bentley

Its the one thing that really bugs me. When i was a kid 15 to 20 years ago we would have had a glimpse of it by npw and even close to a release date.

When we were kids we used to wear the next seasons kit on the last home game of the previous season and then it would be available to buy in time for the summer holidays in June.gandhisflipflop wrote:Its the one thing that really bugs me. Will we look to increase retail distribution both UK and abroad as we become more established in the PL ? At the moment I presume they are only available directly from the club due to distribution costs.

I can only recall us doing this once when we wore a new Puma home kit (the one with two white stripes across the collarbone and a big floppy blue collar) against Cardiff on the last home game of the 2010- 11 season. Already threads on this - kit has been delayed because of the shirt sponsor. I’m told the Home kit is likely to go on sale from 14th July.

We definitely wore our new kit on the last game of the 2010-11 season but QPR were champions that year. Think Cardiff bombed out of the play-offs again.

On the last home game of the 92/93 season some youth team players modelled the 93-95 kit around the pitch either before the game or at half time, and kicked some mini Mitre footballs into the stands.

The 2017/18 kit was revealed on 14 June 2017.
For 2016/17 it was June 24th
For 2012/13 it was 7 June.

Burnley Football Club hold the distribution rights, or at least they did.... and strongly suspect still do. Many a local Sport shop had serious financial smack in the face when they took them on and made it only Burnley FC could retail Burnley FC official kits. I'd be ****** off if it's as late as rumoured, I always get the new strips to take on holiday with me, looking unlikely now.
Apart from the rumour of a new sponsor causing the delay, when are we going to find out who. They will only be forgiven if the club is making some seriously big money from any new shirt sponsor.
