Has anybody watched this, the new theory now is that she was attacked by an owl. It is a truly brilliant documentary. My gut feeling is that he is guilty but evidence was messed about with and contaminated to the point he could use the alford plea

I haven’t, but I intend to start it shortly. Absolutely love stuff like this. Making a Murderer and Evil Genius were fantastic.

Watched this a couple of years ago and just watched the first of the new episodes last night. I find the accused to be very genuine but the circumstances looked extremely damning.

Suggest you also listen the the podcast the BBC did on the same guy. It is called beyond reasonable doubt. It is a bit annoying at times with repeating things but is worth a listen. It brings into question the French documentary makers who made staircase film. Apparently someone involved in the original film ended up in a relationship with the accused. BBC version makes it seem much more likely he is guilty so provides an alternative view. The interview they did with the accused in one of the last pod cast episodes was excellent.

Not just someone involved....the editor!
