All I get on my first day back after my holidays is an in box full of all the shitty jobs no-one wanted to do whilst I was away.
I knew I should have a footballer.

Work? What's that?

To be fair, my working partner is sunning it up in Spain, diving into the pool, whilst I have over 300 contracts to sort out.

Elevator music. I tried on soundhound but it couldn’t ID it.

Elevator music is wrong on so many levels.

To be fair the Burnley players have got a LOT to prove this season with the wages they are on.

Don't know why I pay for Clarets Player, they put everything on youtube for free anyway.

The wages they are on may dwarf payments in the titchy Scottish league but yet again will be in the bottom couple in the Premier league.

They will also earn in a week what most folk in Burnley struggle to earn in a year.

Lads, we have Gary Mackay Steven and Adam Rooney on 3 grand a week. The wages are capped at 4 grand. It's better that way from a football perspective there's no resentment in the squad about guys on a lot more than others.

Given we had one of the smallest wage bills in the Prem last season and finished 7th I think they have already proved themselves. That’s not to say we and they won’t want to improve this season.
The Premier League is awash with money. I doubt we’d attract players on a 4K a week cap and be anywhere near it.

Our ballboys are on more than that.
