When things like this happen it gives me hope.
Hope of becoming a professional footballer. Even though I am 31, and crap at football

What an experience he will have there, certainly something to tell the grand kids.
Even if he never plays, it will probably be the highlight of his career, with many great memories and stories to tell from it.

Another keeper who owes Billy Mercer big style for the coaching he got at Burnley
Re: ARTICLE: Lee Grant completes Manchester United move
Nice little job to take him into retirement. Fair play to him. What an experience!

Great choice. Giving up 1st team football to become 3rd choice. Not even fit to warm the bench at OT! I think Tim talks manure

Didn't go on much until the premiership so wouldn't know. But have had a season ticket for the last couple of seasons. Hes not even good enough for 3rd choice at Burnley if we're honest.

Re: ARTICLE: Lee Grant completes Manchester United move
Great opportunity to work with the coaches, help develop the younger goalkeepers and provide backup. Manchester United at 35 years old will look great on his CV.
Like Richard Wright at City or Alex Manninger at Liverpool.

1.5m? Makes you wonder what Pope is worth...
Re: ARTICLE: Lee Grant completes Manchester United move
The only reason some think Lee Grant isn't that good....
He was signed by Brian Laws.
It must really stick in the throat that Dean Marney turned out well!

I think he's a good choice as a backup keeper. Loads of experience in football and did well for Stoke when he had to stand in.

Re: ARTICLE: Lee Grant completes Manchester United move
Grant was decent enough , and good luck to him ,though I’m presuming hel be 3rd choice ? .Let is not forget the experts in goalkeeping on here who generally dismiss the likes of Bravo ,Hart and Pickford (especially Pickford) as utterly useless and likely lucky to get a game for Colne Dynamoes

I'd give it 3 or 4 weeks into the season and I fancy him to displace DeGea.
