Sounds like they have achieved their objective of winding up the English. If the situation were reversed and the Sweaties were in the semis I can genuinely say that I would want them to lose, and lose badly. I can also genuinely say that i would not be wasting £50 on a foreign football shirt but each to their own. As for the Sweaties as a nation, they voted for dependence on the English and that will always be their default position. In this instance they are dependent on the English giving them a bit of football interest in their dreary, alcohol soaked, drug addled, cholesterol fuelled lives.

What a complete and utter non story, like the Glasgow sports shops were full of Croatia strips in the first place !

As a 50 something Scot, I would have no problem with England winning the World Cup if it weren't for the media. Think Southgate and his players have conducted themselves superbly during the tournament but the media........Lineker, Wright and as for that **** Piers Morgan who isn't even English in the first place. Having said all of that going out and buying a Croatia top is just SAD.

Good for them, hopefully they'll be out wasting another £50 on a France shirt tomorrow, (or maybe even a nice Belgium shirt if it goes tits up tonight)

Mind you, I guess the Scots can afford it, not having to have spent any money following their own team in the World Cup finals for the past 20 years

To be honest, on more than one occasion in the last 22 years or so (since first seeing their magnificent shirt at Euro 96) I've been tempted to buy a Croatia shirt. I love the design.

This hits the nail on the head,it's not even the fact they couldn't qualify,they couldn't even make the play-offs,both Ireland's at least reached the play-offs.Denmark and Iceland have performed creditably in recent tournaments,TBF the Scots have done well at youth levels,it's making the step up,now McLeish is back perhaps they might grace a major championship again.If they did qualify i suspect most fair-minded English folk would wish them well.
