Good performance against Leicestershire Foxes. All set for a great game against the Yorkies on Friday at Old Trafford. Jos Buttler back in the side too.

Crucial to maintain the firm during the forthcoming middle spell of games. Time to kick-on.
Easy win tonight. Lots of positives. Yorkshire are a very different animal though, this Friday!

Tough game v yorkies
Need good game.play not just raw shots. Tighter in power play is crucial

Slow bowlers set that up. Leic started off at a fair lick and looked like they'd get 175+ then Livingstone & Parkinson had 8 overs between them @ 39/5.
Livingstone also did a god job at the start of the Lancs innings building momentum with 28 runs in 11 balls. Good knock from Davies too- unbeaten on 51 holding things together.
Good win & (as already stated) really setting things up for the Roses clash at OT.

Kane Williamson and Joe Root available for the Yorkies, could be a cracker.

In all fairness, they were 3/0 from the first 2 and a bit overs. Then that third over went for 22 and we lost control for a bit.

If I was captain and watched my player bowl that third over I would have chucked him off the field.
Under 13's standard.

Nice to see that Cosgrove was on a fitness scheme during the winter anyway

(though his 31 from 21 was a decent contribution)

Any more Clarets at Old Trafford on Friday for the Yorkshire T20 Blast match.
Got my tickets months ago and if it is anything like the previous two seasons matches it should be a cracker.
Also went to the T20 match last Saturday when Lancs beat Derbyshire and it was a great atmosphere but the games against Yorkshire will on another level.

20/20 cricket is a circus sideshow of a game. Good for a bit of a laugh but hard to take seriously.

I used to play cricket with and went to school with Alex Davies.
It's tremendous to see his progression!
I once bowled him out with an off break bowl about 10 years ago.... Needless to say, I make sure to remind him everytime that I see him!

Currently smashing Yorkshire around the park in a match that's been reduced to 14 overs per innings due to the bad weather. Lancashire 151-2 after 12 overs, some serious slogging in progress.

Over 20,000 at Old Trafford see an incredible game of cricket. Didn't think the Yorkies had a chance, well done to them as well for a great fight. What a finish!

I much prefer 20/20 and T20 to tests. However, now the big hitting seems to be leaching across, the score rate is starting to go up so a result is becoming more likely. 5 days of Boycott was tedium personified.

Love the we all hate Leeds chants.
Added to the atmosphere
Not looked at the league table but presumably we are still top of the league with a massive plus points difference.
Lyth, Root, Willey, Plunkett, Bresnan, Rashid, Rafiq and Ballance. Not good enough.

Waves at Bodge.....
Adil should try the red one, that might touch the ground a bit more between his hand and the batsman's bat.....

Aye - Bresnan did hit it a bit.
PS - When he was fielding, did he have the new treadmill trainers on? Or was the ball on a stick? He never seemed to get any closer to it.....

The shortening of the game certainly suited the Wimbledon of cricket tonight with the bookies favourites weasling their way to a victory in the end.

Aye - as evidenced by Lancashire being 2 down and flying at the end of 14 overs..... where as Yorkshire put Bresnan and Plunkett up the order to keep up...... favourite last ball since the 12 off the last ball in Northants spectacle......
ECB have a new format after tonight....... The 84.

All that jazz.
Get yerself down to Crompton CC tomorrow by public transport for the Lowerhouse game.
Reaching the ground will be a minor achievement from Rosegrove via a train to Rochdale, tram to Crompton & Shaw, then a 15 minute walk to the ground but there is a rescue station at Wetherpoons on the walk .
Getting back, unlikely.

Absolutely brilliant match at Old Trafford last night.
Lancs are on a great run in the T20 Blast but looking at the team Yorkshire put out, I thought this might be one that we could lose. Fortunately captain Liam Livingstone didn't share my thoughts as he ripped into the Yorkshire bowlers during a sensation knock of 79 runs and looked like he was racing to a century until Joe Root took a brilliant catch to dismiss him.
Match reduced to 14 over each due to the late afternoon down pour but fabulous value for my £17 ticket.

I'm still not sold on the concept of any one game lasting an entire week. It might be exciting to win by a single run, but there's too much utter dross in between.
