Train to Aberdeen

Post by ShakyLee » Sun Jul 22, 2018 8:50 pm

Just looked at train times to find Northern Rail have a temporary timetable from Mon 23 to Fri 27July, which includes some bus replacements. I was intending to travel on the 8.27 from Burnley Barracks to Preston on Thursday which does not seem to be running this week. So advisable for anyone catching trains from Burnley to Aberdeen via Preston to check travel arrangements.

Better off travelling from Manny Rd. Thats less susceptible to cancellations. And its quicker.

I'm travelling from Birmingham International via Haymarket/Edinburgh - no delays announced yet :)

Northern Fail cancelled nearly 200 trains last Saturday.

I wouldn't trust them.

I agree. I'm starting the train journey from Preston - simply too much uncertainty with Northern.
