My (Virgin) planner says it’s his live tour show (content provider) on at that time. Is it wrong, or have I misunderstood the OP? I was expecting a new series of comedy vehicle, what with the mention of the interviewer / interrogator.

I believe it's a standalone airing of his most recent stand-up routine spliced with comedy vehicle-style interrogation for the TV broadcast.

edit-I could be wrong, though. But I think I'm right. I dunno. I'm a Stewart Lee fan, after all, so I'm nowhere near as smart as I think I am.

It is indeed a live recording of the last tour "content provider" filmed in Southend. Not sure if they've also recorded interview style segments ala Comedy Vehicle.

Regarding Comedy Vehicle, the 4 seasons are on Iplayer now. It wasn't recommissioned so they'll be no more.

Firstly, I am a cisgender white heterosexual male for which I apologise.

I will not be watching this programme, which promotes a white privileged masculine narrative as the norm to the general public. It is time more underrepresented members of society are allowed to appear on TV programmes.

When will the hated main stream media allow a trans-species presenter on our screens, what are they afraid of? There are many such people who could do an equal or better job compared with their cis-species counterparts. For example former Never Mind the Buzzcocks presenter Mark Lamarr, who now self- identifies as a Harbour Porpoise. Since Mark made the brave decision to transition to sea based mammal he has not been seen on our screens, a coincidence, I think not.

I shall take the time to write an article on this subject for the Guardian website, while this so call TV programme is taking place on Saturday night. Hopefully, licence fee payer’s money will not be wasted in the future on such discriminatory programming.

In the future I would like to see the BBC spend their programme budget on such inclusive and thought provoking material as a TV adaption of the Onyeka Nubia novel, Where is my Ethically Sourced Avocado? A tale about a group of migrants who are dealing with Post Traumatic Distress Disorder after reading the Mail On-Line and find solace by opening the first ever Waitrose in the Sangatte Refugee Camp.
