??
I thought it was free? None of our group of 8 paid.
Crowd wise (I stood near the front which slopes towards the turf from the fanzone) looking back I'd say, a conservative estimate, there was 4000+ there tonight

I was there but didn't think there was 4,000+, possibly 3,000?
Thinned out a bit after half time maybe with families with young kids heading home, unfortunately some of the youngsters remaining were subjected to the idiots indiscriminately chucking beer and beer filled (plastic) bottles about when we equalized

Near where I was stood some nutter started a brawl shortly after the equaliser and began choking out another guy, fortunately one of his mates managed to intervene and drag him away. The victim was with his small kids though and decided to leave which put a bit of a dampener on things.
Oh, and the people picking empty bottles off the floor to chuck in the air after the goal can only be described as total cretins. Other than that, good night.

I can understand someone throwing their arms up in the heat of the moment when we score and spilling some of their drink (not that spillage is ever acceptable), but to deliberately pick up a bottle to throw is just moronic.

2-3,000 I thought. Decent turnout, and I thought the club did a decent job with the commentary and the pictures really well synched up.
Another gripe about the beer being thrown, but I expected that, and I also didn't understand quite why they were being so anal on the gate about people bringing cans of fizzy pop into the area, but such is life.

Spilling some drink in the heat of the moment - OK.
Purposefully chucking a full plastic pint cup up in the air - Annoying, but not the end of the world.
Intentionally lobbing a half full Carlsberg bottle half way across a crowd that has small kids in it - Braindead.

There were sadly a few belms chucking bottles about. Including one bloke who celebrated normally (jumping about, cheering) and then a good 10 seconds later picked up an empty bottle and whizzed it into the main crowd of people. Cannot understand why

I wasn't at t'Turf last night. I imagne security is the concern with containers of liquids being brought into a crowd of people. It's not the "fizzy pop" that is the issue, it's what if it isn't a "carbonated drink."
I was at Hyde Park for British Summer Time events couple of weeks ago. Same rules applied - no liquids brought in from outside, except unopened, i.e sealed bottled water, max 500 ml size.
I've no knowledge of these things, but I imagine a license to hold the event also includes some "security guidelines" that have to be observed.
