Sky news reporting 5 killed in minibus crash in Scotland on A96 near Huntly.

I’ve never been up there, could this be a route we would take back?

Fingers crossed it’s not BFC fans.

It's north of Aberdeen so unlikely. Sad news whoever is involved.

Huntly is north of Aberdeen so more likely to be locals, I guess.

Tragic news regardless of who was involved in this.
Unlikely to be supporters heading home to Elgin/Inverness as they should have been well past this point in the road by almost midnight

One of the vehicles was a minibus apparently. Supporters from the game were my first thought when I heard it. RIP whoever it was

May have had a bevvy then made the journey. (Not suggesting driver) That may fit timing. I was on the road earlier on the day.

Tragic news for all families concerned. I read about it on the BBC website but had not considered the possibility of them being footy fans. My thoughts are with the families whose lives have been altered forever. RIP.

A paragraph from The Times report:

"The route was busy with traffic last night following the Europa League match between Aberdeen and Burnley at Pittodrie Stadium, with many supporters heading back from the city to the Moray and Inverness areas."

Thoughts to all involved. RIP

It was a mini bus of Italian tourists who collided with the 4 x 4. Looking at the photo I'd hazard a guess that the minibus turned out of the junction left, but on the European side into the path of the car driven by locals.. Tragic.
