Oh yeah, thanks for replying mate. I'd had heard that one, although I'm not sure how accurate it is. I thought the poster was implying that we'd been in for him more recently.

You know what, this may not be the worst signing for 500k. He is always a threat due to his height and we deliver some pretty decent balls in to the box these days. Never relied on pace so not really declined over the years. He is quite pally with Dyche too I believe.

It's all about who else is signed.

If Crouch were signed along with Jay, Dawson and Mawson it would be an excellent window. If Crouch were our major signing a terrible one.

Probably best if the manager who took us to the 7th best team in the country made the decision rather than the rednecks of this forum

I was suggesting that Crouch wouldn’t be a poor signing, assuming we were able to land our other targets. Although not both Dawson and Mawson.

In other words Jay, Clucas, Dawson/Mawson plus Crouch.
