- Not a VAX or a Smart
- Powerful
- Bagless (it just opens and goes into the bin)

To get the dust off your bawls?

Space is good.

Can't get more powerful than 900w.
Bagless = less efficiency, less hygienic
£100 = a piece of ****. You'll get roughly a year of reasonable use for every £50 you spend. Odd exceptions of course. Sebos and Mieles will get you 10-20 years for £300 for example and the old Hoover Juniors and Seniors are still going now.

If you really really really must have a bagless then pay the money and get a Dyson because, though it pains me to say it, they are out and out the best bagless cleaner on the market.

Learn to love the bag though and buy a Sebo. Best machine in the world.

Are the ones with bags, easy to just take out and throw in the bin, as opposed to having to empty and then put the same bag back?

I agree with most of what you say,however I bought a Shark for 200 quid and it's miles better than my Dyson ever was.Also you don't need to buy filters as they're made of rubber and can be washed.

This is not for you but I just bought a Dyson V10 cordless (at £450!!!).

I hate the cords on vacuum cleaners so I was willing to go for what seems to be the best cordless around. I have carpet and power is one of the issues for cordless machines but this works well even on low suction. It's reasonably light weight, the only negatives being the small capacity for the waste and it is not so easy to empty as the manufacturer makes out.

Nevertheless I find I am vacuuming more then I was before simply because of its ease of use (twice a year instead of once). All I need now is some automatic dusting machine, and a washing machine that can turn clothes the right way round if they are inside out.

It's bagged, but I don't do all that much vacuuming, as the bungalow is small, so I could live with it being bagged.

I looked into this previously and, as others have said, your criteria aren't going to be met.

I'll second Shark machines, fabulous pieces of modern technology in my experience. Not too expensive either.

To be honest, all of the ones mentioned above really suck.

Miele is fantastic value for money! Highly recommended

Thanks Walkerpool, but already ordered the Henry Compact.

It's got very good reviews and I think will be fine for my weekly (and that's pushing it), vacuums.

I'm another one who has a shark ...by far the best vacuum I've ever had ....including Dyson
