Post by warksclaret » Mon Jul 30, 2018 10:22 pm

I love this time of the year, to quote Keagan I would love it if.....

....anyone for Troy Deeney. SD will know him well. Cardiff about to bid £15m according to Nixon

Not at that sort of money. 30 years old, 5 goals last season. Is he any better than we’ve got ?

Helen of Droy, doesn't quite have the same mystique.

Just thought it was interesting-particularly from Cardiff. I think 3-4 years ago that he was deadly but suspect he's lost that turn of pace. Warnock seems to like these rugged forwards-did he not have Lee Trundle. His sides are generally aggressive

Not different enough to Wood, Vokes and Barnes for me. Another burly, hold the ball up type when what we need is a bit of panache and fleet of foot up there (in my opinion). If one of those left however (e.g, Vokes), I think Dyche would be in like a shot as he loves Deeney and tried to sign him after our first promotion.

I still think Rodriguez is coming.

The Rodriguez deal is certainly still alive. He wants to come. West Brom still holding out for more money though.

I reckon he's better than the overrated Defour.

You honestly think that Troy Deeney is a better player than Stephen Defour?

Some people are obviously getting desperate for a signing! I suggested Deeney last season and was overwhelmingly shot down. I find it puzzling - he's a player who is capable and obviously knows Dyche. Very strong and good leadership qualities (not that we're lacking in these departments). I'd be very happy if we brought him here. Dyche would get the best out of him.
