Apparently Walters could be on his way to Boro.
Would be quite surprised given our current numbers.

Source?
If he is indeed going elsewhere, I'd imagine we're fairly confident of adding a good few players to our squad.

His he Bamford’s replacement ? Bet the Boro fans are ecstatic. Will free up some space on our bench. Quite a lot of space come to think of it.

Just the normal twitter sources. So not the most credible. Like I said would be pretty surprised if this happens

Pulis link gives this legs. Frees up some salary for incoming.

He doesn't get a kick even with current numbers so I wouldn't be surprised at all. Both Walters and Wells are way down the pecking order. I'm not 100% sure on this but I suspect Agyei has had more game time during preseason than both of them. If selling them or sending them out on loan frees up wages and squad places I think it makes sense.

Rumoured to be a 3.5mil fee. I would take that defiantly

If we get £3.5m for Walters that easily beats our previous best daylight robberies of selling Iain Moore and Wayne Thomas. If we manage to give him away then that straight away for me turns it from a poor transfer window so far to a not so bad one

I would almost feel guilty if we got 3.5 million for Walters, would be astonished if that happened. Nothing against him, but given he's played no football really for a year and he's 46 years old, 3.5 million would be nuttier than a snickers dipped in nutella.

Surely Pulis wouldn't be that dumb would he,let's be honest Walters isn't going to feature so any fee and freeing up of a squad place, plus reducing the wage bill. From Walters POV he needs to play at a decent level and Boro is as good as he'll get.

We can add the £3.5 million to the other £50 million we wont spend

I don't think we can afford to be letting any players at all go.

I was down at Alton towers a few weeks ago in the queue for Wicker man with the kids wearing Burnley tops, when one of the workers says to me Burnley stole our best player.
I looked at him thinking maybe a Leeds fan? But no he was a Stokie and on about Walters.
I didn't have the heart to tell him he wasn't good enough for Burnley.
Anyway, we know Dyche has said he should look for another club if he wants to play and 45k a week off the wage bill would be nice. Let's hope it's true.

lol , I was actually swimming in crow wood when Walters was doing some work in the pool with the physio . His physique is unbelievable , it's funny how he comes across as a bit over weight etc etc .

Strange signing for us in the first place. Be good news if this is true, brings nada to the table for us.

Not strange at all, if it hadn’t been for that potential leg breaking challenge on him at Deadwood he would have certainly been more involved.

Disagree, was always going to be a bit part player at best. Certainly
Not good enough for us that’s for sure. Championship standard player.

He was good enough at 1 point sadly that was years ago way past his prime now, file with crouch if he's another who ends up getting signed.

He’s 35 in September, it will be a fantastic bit of business to get rid of him to anyone at any price. Might be just about room in the car for his mate Bardsley as well.

Thank goodness he did then, as we finished 7th, more involvement may have meant finishing 8th.

Whilst I don't think Walters would have been a regular starter, I'm sure he could have made a decent contribution to the team effort last season had it not been for the injury.
Bit like Matt Taylor a few seasons ago, in hindsight it looked like a bit of a waste of money but had he not picked up that bad injury who knows?
The puzzling signing for me last season was Nakhi Wells who couldn't even get a game when he was fit and our goals had dried up for a period mid season.

Watched him quite closely on Sunday and to be fair he looked like he could not be bothered. For me he is one we could sell/give away and not miss him.Put one of the young lads on the bench instead who will put in a shift if they get on.

For what it's worth, I thought he was a good signing at the time because of his experience and he certainly wasn't past it - I think his injury put paid to any meaningful contribution to our season and this may be presenting as you have noticed. I think the best option for us and him is to move him on - in the same way an experienced head in the dressing room is good for morale when he's part of the group, when that players is no longer a part of the group they may very well be as divisive as they were contributory when involved.
