Plea to clarets fans.

According to sales figures and reports tmrw night is nowhere near full to capacity, given all the excitement of a European adventure this is somewhat surprising, obviously there's a few issues with clarets no, work, costs, holidays etc, but it could turn out that Aberdeen have 25% the ground at this rate, which is ironic given you need a clarets no, if this the case there may not be Istanbul, come on clarets the team needs us, we can make the difference, we need to silence them.

I suspect the poor transfer window, the fact it's on tv (even though a crap channel), and below par performances thus far, is why so many people aren't as excited as they may have been.

Do we even want to progress?

Surely we don't need another thread about the likley attendance tomorrow night! But don't worry, they won't have 25% of the gate unless the attendance is only going to be 10000 (which it's not)!

Even if they have managed to get a few hundred seats in the home ends then the maximum amount of Aberdeen fans will be 3,000.

I think if we have 15,000 home fans in the ground (home capacity of a bit over 19,000) then it will be a decent effort, far from the embarrassment some are making it out to be.

The JM Upper and Lower have quite a few seats left but the Bob Lord, JHU and CFS have sold well and the JHL is over half full, so with a few tickets shifted tomorrow it looks to be on track.

I'm sure somebody has counted the available seats.

Aberdeen fans in the home end won’t be as big an issue as its being made out. Lots of them have had their tickets cancelled due to the obviously location they’re being posted to.

Completely incorrect
I know of at least four who have tickets in home end having registered and been given a Claret Points number to enable them to buy home end tickets.
There was NO option to have tickets posted and must be collected ahead of the game

I tried to get 3 seats together for me and my lads in the JHU yesterday dinner they said I'd only get 3 in the wings. There was a steady queue behind me so I don't think it'll be too bad. I don't think the rotton draw IF we beat Aberdeen has helped either.

They'll be a steady flow at the ticket office tomorrow, don't expect queues around the block but a few will be shifted.

The CFS now appears to be sold out and the JHU is getting down to the last 100 or so. I think 15,000+ home fans is more than achievable tomorrow, giving us a crowd of at least 17,500, not what we had hoped in May but not that bad at all.

Surely anyone wearing a kilt trying to get in the home end will not be admitted

Taken from Facebook as of this lunchtime. Obviously the club will have more tickets for the walk ons, but this is what the online situation was:

▪️Longside Upper - 357
▪️Longside Lower - 704
▪️Cricket Field - 28
▪️Bob Lord - 297
▪️Jimmy Mac Upper - 1,382
▪️Jimmy Mac Lower - 916

TOTAL = 3,684

CF

A few sold since then and a few more tomorrow.

You guessed at about another 1,000 unseen seats taking it to 4,684.

So that leaves us over 14,500 sold as of lunchtime today, fully expect 15,000+ by kick off.

I live within 4 miles of the ground, but like thousands of other regular supporters I won't be flying home from holiday to be there.
That's not an excuse it's the reason. Obviously many of us are disappointed not to be there, but I'm not taking a lecture from anybody for missing a game during peak holiday time

No, it isn’t completely incorrect at all. You might know a few who have slipped through the net, but lots have had tickets cancelled. Next.

Why don't you have a plea to the club? Why didn't the club visit every holiday kids summer club in the Burnley area last week and give out a 1,000 free tickets for 1 kid and 1 parent? If there's some uefa rule about free tickets the club could have covered the cost of them. You never know a few of those given free tickets could turn in to regular supporters of the club.

It always seems with BFC its what you can do for your club rather than what your club can do for you

Fully agree but did you read the venom aimed at children who had tickets for Aberdeen last week? Your suggestion wouldn't go down well in here! :?

To those that said I was talking ******** about this, I walked up and collected my ticket (Bob Lord Stand - Block *, Row *, Seat No 0*** and asked why it couldn't have been posted out and the answer I was given was because I had only created a Points No: for this game and no purchasing history meant I had to collect in person.

Thems the facts lads, believe or disbelieve.
