Tarks & Mee

Post by MRG » Fri Aug 03, 2018 12:27 pm

A couple of guys sat behind us yesterday were saying that Mee wants out following a training ground bust up at the end of last season with Tarks and they no longer even speak to each other.

Let’s hope this is a load of rubbish but the fella was adamant

Firstly, I very much doubt it.

Can you imagine wanting to leave a job because you fell out with a colleague haha, I work with some right bell ends but couldn’t care less as long as my wage goes in the bank each month

It must be hard for Ben seeing Keane, and then Tarks getting call ups to England, but it isn't Tarks fault.
I doubt you would fall out for long if that's the case, and I doubt SD would let any unrest fester in the squad, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

The fall out must have been over the treatment table queue.

I heard it was a golf course incident. tarks teed off and Mae said "you swing your club like you swing your leg at the ball to clear it up field" and Tarks didn't take it well

Don't know about Mee and Tarks, but Mee and Lindegaard don't look like they get on.

Tarkowski bollocked Lindegaard at one point for not playing a short ball out to him. This was in first half injury time when we had just had a period under the cosh. Lindegaard did absolutely the right thing and took his time before kicking long.

Anyone who thinks that footballers in any club get along together must be deluded. Arrogant and self-centred, spending a lot of time in each others' company is a recipe for arguments, feuds and bust-ups. Imagine having to spend any amount of time with Paul Gascoigne at his ' funniest'.

At best most team mates just about “ get along “ ( of course a few will be mates ) the intensity of training and the competition for places matched with breathtaking salaries ain’t always the recipe for perfect harmony . Real Madrid a good example but long as they perform like a well drilled army unit on the pitch all is well.

After the Heaton injury it was good to hear a loud and clear “keepers” call from him and our defenders giving him a route to the ball. We have to stop crippling our keepers.

Said to my old man, I’ve seen them all lay in to the GK in a way they’d never dare do to Pope and Heaton,

Or a hand. He's been fine. Exceptional inasmuch as he's had no competitive football for ages.

I heard that it's something to do with a Hinney that Tarks sold Mee for £100, an original pressing of The Beatles' 'Hey Jude', and a Lopez Ufarte sticker to complete his Panini Espania '82 album.
Turns out the Hinney was actually a Mule.

Really? What was the alternative? You were sharing some overheard gossip. I reckon you gave me two options.

1) Believe some salacious shite about two model professionals in reportedly the most tight-knit dressing room in the country.

2) Dismiss it as utter ********.

I’m standing by the latter.

Utter nonsense. His command of his 6 yard box was non existent. Not to mention his terrible kicking. Clearly not good enough for the Premier League.

'reportedly the most tight-knit dressing room in the country'

Who ranks or rates these things? Unless you have insider knowledge to our squad I suspect it's as harmonious as the last falling out just like any other club anywhere in the world.

Great save to push it round the post just before half time. However, he seems caught in limbo at corners not knowing whether to come off his line and catch, punch the ball.

I think it takes a few games to get that sort of thing organised.
They may have decided that he wasn't to come for crosses having lost two keepers doing that.

A bloke sat behind me said it was over an ice cream. One of our coaching staff bought everyone an ice cream after a training session, but there wasn't enough and Tarks and Mee had to share, however, one of them accidentally dropped it on the floor. Dyche went to the corner shop to buy a them a new one, but the shop had sold out. Everyone was sad.
