I've just received an email from Virgin Trains saying that Euston station will be completely closed between the 25th and the 27th of August which is going to affect Clarets going to Fulham.

One alternative route to look at Birmingham New Street and change to Paddington train, via Oxford and Reading. I know someone who says got w/end return for £58.
Don't forget it's bank holiday.
Don't forget the game may be on Sunday (have I got that right), if we get past Istanbul.

It's my good luck that I'm on a Friday to Tuesday trip.
I wish they'd get on with rearranging the Fulham game to Sunday. It's the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday.

Any news yet on the date? Fulham are selling tickets based on a Saturday game, and there's no news on Burnley's site. If we beat the Turks, then the match will surely be moved to Sunday - are they going to leave it to 9 days before the match before they finally decide?

Yes, but are they going to leave it on Saturday until the week before the game, or are they going to switch it early like they did the Southampton game? Either way, an announcement would be nice.

They’ll wait until they know if we are playing the Thursday before.

Southampton weren't sure if we would be playing this coming Thursday but went ahead and moved our game back to the Sunday. Wonder if Fulham will say anything early this week

Another vote for Stanmore. Easy getaway, too.

Is there any chance this game could be pushed to Monday 27th?

I wouldn't have thought so, because if we're playing on Thursday 23rd we'll be playing on Thursday 30th as well.

Accy Clarets will be taking coaches whether it's on the Saturday or Sunday. Details are on the Accy Clarets to Fulham thread.

The obvious route, assuming Northern manage to run some trains, is to go via the East Coast into Kings Cross. Generally involves changing at Leeds but occasionally Halifax. Trains are running through the weekend for that one.
