I have been called greedy for ideally wanting 5 more signings and I know that won't happen

Center mid, winger, number 10 , keeee, however a winger/no.10 type who could fill both positions would be ok moving Hendrick back to CM . Therefore wanting a keeper and a number 10/winger type or one of each

I’d be satisfied with one more signing, providing it’s a creative midfielder/ forward capable of playing the no 10 role in our team. Jay Rodriguez would fill the role nicely but not sure how likely the deal is at this point.

Watching Leeds today and Samu Saiz and Kemar Roofe caught my eye, might be a decent alternatives.

2 or 3 ideally. No more than that. We don't need both a striker and no. 10.

A central midfielder as sadly Steve Defour is injured and some way off fitness, plus despite his brilliance he has an injury track record with us. We also need someone different to Wood, Vokes and Barnes. Happy with a Jay or Dwight Gale-someone with 12 goals in them

I thought Matt Ritchie was destined for Stoke but they got McClean-he could be a good option for us too

Given we have now got 23 I think of our 25 we can only use another two in unless we move folk on Heaton Lindegaard Hart (if he signs) Pope out until at least January, Bardsley, Lowton, Ward Taylor Mee (if rumours are true of him signing) Gibson, Long, Tarks, Lennon,JBG, Cork,Defour (if he stays) Brady, Hendrick,Westwood,Vokes, Barnes,Wood,Walters, Wells.
Rumours of Walters out on loan would make 3 places to fill

I think sweet spot is 3, if Dyche thinks we need a keeper. The most important thing is we have more depth in wide and central midfield areas, but all summer Dyche has been chasing Rodriguez so he clearly wants a genuine withdrawn striker to complinent Wood. The right 2 players can fill all 3 of those vacancies.

3. Hart, Rodriguez and a left-sided utility midfielder would be fine. A 4th signing like Antonio would be the icing on the cake but otherwise we could take a young prospect on loan to give another option out wide.

For me if we can look back and say we have signed Hart, Gibson, Jay Rod and a Winger, I would be more than happy.

Hart - gives us good experience and helps us with Heaton/Pope being injured

Gibson - He gives us good options at the back - Together with Dunne, Long and Tarks - we are well prepared if Mee does go in January - which I suspect will happen if he doesn't sign a new contract.

Jay Rod- He gives us a different type of striker, he is also well liked by fans so will fit back in really well. Think it would release Hendrick up from trying to be the no 10 role. Hendrick in midfield then gives us - Westwood/Cork/Defour/Hendrick.

Winger - think with Lennon, JBG and Brady we could do with another indivdual here for giving us some cover/options. The youngster McNeil has looked ok but appreciate he may not be ready for the premier league yet - although I would give him a shot personally.

Winger/Attacking Midfielder and Striker.

If being overly greedy another more conservative central midfielder too, though that is not a ‘must’ I don’t feel.

Pacy striker who can play off our many target men.

Also a pacy tricky winger who can create something out of nothing. Would love a Robbie Blake type character (though I realise he wasn't pacy, especially on his last stint at the club).

We're in a similar situation to England. We lack the cutting edge.

Without shipping anyone out, that’s pretty much bob on for me. Although I wouldn’t say the extra centre mid is greedy.

I’m not convinced by Hendrick and sadly, Defour can’t be relied on for a season, which leaves us very short in a key area.

Westwood doesn’t let us down but we are far less of a threat with him in the side. He’s useful backup, when that’s for Defour though, we look bereft of ideas.

A winger who can play centrally

The hardest position to fill on any club is a top flight striker. That's why they're paid so much. You almost have to grow your own. Denmark has been playing for years without a recognizable one. Eriksen is their top scorer, and he's a mid-fielder. Just hope that Ash the Bash continues to develop and stays healthy.

(2) Forward and the near mythical creative midfielder. No real evidence that Defour can play anywhere near a full season. Not enough creativity in the Cork / Westwood axis, Hendrick is miles off it and has appeared that way for sometime.
Amazed that more people on here don’t think we need a midfielder. Little concerned that the self-imposed small recruitment pool we swim in may have been exhausted. That said, Gibson was out of the blue so there’s hope.

Number 10 and a keeper would keep me clapping happily.
Depending on injury lengths possibly a winger too if Brady is long term again.

The 3 young lads need game time we can't give them so should be sent out on loan, Legzdins and Walters are completely useless and should leave immediately, Wells i'd sell to make room and the same with Vokes who is out of contract in less than a year, we can't turn down £7M or so. As it stands, we have far too many attacking options and we're still a couple short, we need room, cut the weak links and use the £10M or so income (from sales) and the £100K+ p/w wages we'd be freeing up and put it towards signing a player Dyche wants (Rodriguez?).

SD won't bring in another CM if we're still seriously going after Jay Rod. That'll be the final nail with regards to Hendrick being a no.10. He'll be dropped back into his more natural CM role and become our 4th option alongside Defour, Cork and Westwood. If Defour looks like he's going to miss a decent chunk of the season I can see us bringing a loan in to bridge the gap, but I really don't see us signing another CM at the moment.

I’m really happy with the signings so far. I think we’re missing another winger personally. Lennon, JBG and Brady all decent, but when Brady is eventually fully fit what level of player will we get back? I’m assuming Defour will be back fit this side of October when feeling reasonably happy with the midfield.

To add to this, I think the signing of Hart shows some serious intent from us. We’ve signed a player who has won the golden gloves award 4 times, has represented his country 75 times, and played about 400 career games. Pep G getting shut destroyed his confidence. He’ll be the top earner at the club so it’s a serious commitment to make sure our GK position is sound.

What a load of rubbish. This lad could turn out to be a real find. He has pace to burn and could be a good option off the bench. I'm sorry he's not played for Palace and Everton but he's one of our own and deserves his chance. Obviously highly rated by those that matter.

Keep Sam. His frequent goals (often off the bench) are invaluable and don't
look like drying up any time soon. Like at Aberdeen.

Not keen on Jay at his current valuation but in reality he fits both winger and number ten position so could be worthwhile pursuing if wba can be bullied. If not then sod them.
