Hi all,

I’m flying into Istanbul Ataturk early morning on Thursday. Is there anyone who’s going alone or in a small group who want to share a taxi into Taksim Square or wherever the fan meetup area is in the city? I’m in the airport from 4 in the morning and happy to wait around.

2 of us landing at ataturk 11am from Berlin Thursday morning. By all means we'll also be happy to share taxi if anyone needs.. there are busses and shuttles that appear to run to taksim square for quite cheap as well.

Puddle, i was suggesting it tongue in cheek as 7 hours to wait in an Airport would be hellish! As discussed above, a taxi will only be c. 10 quid.

Due to arrive at 8.10 on the Thursday morning. Not booked a hotel yet, anybody suggest whether to book near the airport as I have a flight back out on Friday morning?

What time are you leaving the airport and where is the shuttle bus taking you?

Sorry I don't know. I expect it will take 30-45 mins to clear formalities and find the bus. It is taking me to Sultanahmet district, near the Tomb of Mahmut II.
