Just an observation.
We still seem to be in the 4th Division when it comes to the effectiveness of our ball boys. This is not a criticism of any individual.
Thursday night promises to be a game of frustration and time wasting. I do hope the ball boys are being briefed and trained to help maximise our home advantage.

Forget the ball boys, change the ticket prices £1 kids, £5 adult. We need the place full and rocking

Equally our mentally challenged fans could help by slowing/ speeding up the return of the ball

Fully agree that prices could be reduced to fill the stadium, we need it to be rammed full and creating a great atmosphere on Thursday. Unlikely the club will do it now though.

For the past 5 seasons we rarely take a throw in from anywhere until the defensive framework is in place.
I always shudder when we win a throw anyway as it normally results in loss of possesion, I don't know why we are so poor but we are.

Recycling the ball quickly won't change anything.

I seems a daft idea really. I mean could we even register them in time to play? I never seen any of the ball boys play but I would imagine they might offer a little bit more creativity.

Don't be stupid.
I have booked 1 adult and 3 "kids" Inc an u22 for £35 in total.
That is really good value. Club still has to cover it's costs

I believe it will be the academy kids who will be ballboying on Thursday night. Surely they will know the ins and outs of ballboying... ;)

I'd rather we ''opened the gates'' and filled the place, you will always get fans moaning who paid because other didn't though, I guess those fans would rather sit an half empty stadium than a full one with some freeloaders. I don't know how much it costs to host the game but fill the place at all costs.

Yeah that'd work well - some people pay and some don't. Stupid suggestion.

Be quiet KR you’ll upset the “real” fans.

Nothing to do with that. Instead just basic common sense. Charge everyone less = ok. Charge specfic groups e.g. kids less = ok. I reckon the prices for Thursday are good already though. Charge the same groups of people differently for a one-off game = stupid.

Darren - every ball boy in the stadium on Thursday had a spare ball that they threw to the player taking the throw in before retrieving the one that had gone out of play.

It worked really well and kept the game flowing.

I think the pricing is fair for this game, but the club really doesn’t have to cover its costs for this game.

But you claimed only yesterday that 'the tie is over'. A full stadium, a half-empty stadium or even an empty stadium, ball-boys or no ball-boys are not going to make the slightest difference because 'the tie is over'.

Why don’t we go the whole hog and pay fans to come in. Send Rocky round town rounding up people who won’t pay £15 to watch their team play in Europe and offer them a pie and a pint to come in!

Not a stupid suggestion at all. We're gonna need every advantage against these shitbags.

We used to do that but the club always wanted them bringing back in when we were winning. Not sure why but the practice was stopped so that the 4th official kept the spare balls. Don't think it was of the club's doing though

It was stopped because the ballboys did their job to keep the game flowing. But the numb nuts in the crowd would then throw the ball that had gone out back onto the pitch, therefore forcing the game to be stopped. It got very frustrating. Several times referees ordered the multiball to be stopped.

Fully agree with this suggestion, we need the turf full and rocking in order to progress, we need to create the spurs atmosphere all over again, come on you clarets.
