Ireland squad
For the upcoming couple of games.
Ward, Long, Hendrick & Walters all make the squad.
Brady, obviously, doesn’t.

Good chance of most of them playing , goodness Ireland don't have much else .Pimlico_Claret wrote:Sincerely hope none of them play
Our shinning light Rice is now undecided about playing for us again as he had talks with Southgate , it just gets worse for us .

Not bothered about Ireland sorry , Burnley don't have much else, we can't afford to risk any more injuriesTribesmen wrote:Good chance of most of them playing , goodness Ireland don't have much else .

Re: Ireland squad
I’ve become friendly with an Irish chap on holiday and he pointed out to me that Ireland don’t have a single player from the so called ‘big six’, which I hadn’t appreciated (I think he’s right, I haven’t checked).
That being the case, they’re likely to lean heavily on our 4 (5 if you include Brady) so would expect them to feature prominently.

He may be part of the Ireland group, want to be there, and not be moping around being a grumpy old so and so. It makes all the difference. The Enclosure wrote:So Walters is good enough for Ireland but not for our bench....strange that.

Like you can say there are always two sides to every coin .Pimlico_Claret wrote:Not bothered about Ireland sorry , Burnley don't have much else, we can't afford to risk any more injuries
Now for me I would love to see all four players playing as I get a real buzz seeing the Irish lads play for their country , love to see Long score the winner that would be something . Anyway I will be in Cardiff next Thursday and I hope the Burnley lads and Ireland do very well .

I hope they all play, get some sharpness, win and maybe even a goal for one or two of them.

Brady had been gone for months and months and months. Also, Defour. I thought we had all this space age science and technology at Barnfield, which was supposed to shorten the healing?
Stick to the old ways and poultices, would be my recommendation!

Same Tribesmen, like to see the Irish lads play and play well but can certainly understand the nervousness of the local fans with Burnley playing on so many fronts.Tribesmen wrote:Like you can say there are always two sides to every coin .

As for next week, Rice is a blow no doubt, that cameo against Turkey in cm made me sit up, unfortunately it made Gareth Southgate sit up as well! Still, que sera sera, we'll know a lot more after next Thursday, enjoy the trip

I'm not sure the technology required to heal Defour has been invented yet.IanMcL wrote:Brady had been gone for months and months and months. Also, Defour. I thought we had all this space age science and technology at Barnfield, which was supposed to shorten the healing?
