I opened this post thinking the question might be a little more pertenent!

Accumulators on football are nonsensically bad value. They give poor returns to start with - the overround (is that the technical term) on most bets, eg. both teams to score, is about 150-200% and when you multiply it up, you get about one-eighth the true odds on a three game accumulator.
