Yaya passes medical in London

Yaya passes medical in London according to his agent but it's not believed to be a London club he's signing for.

I don’t think we have ever done a medical so far away so it probably rules us out, as does the start we have had.

Looking like out of Europe and 3rd relegation favourite won't attract players of his calibre I'm afraid, unless we paid way over the top wages.

Laughable you think had we been higher in the league and possibly in the group stage you think that would swing him round to signing for a club like ours. This is the guy who felt unloved at City on 200k a week and said prove you love me by paying me more. Yep its our league position that will have ended this chance.

Well if we have named 5 keepers with one of them out until 2019 then that is madness. 20% of a squad of 25 as goalkeepers? Surely not.

It'll be for some far and distant club, maybe in China or Qatar but Yaya really doesn't fancy it.

Comes across as a last ditch attempt to force the hand of an English side may have already been in negotiations with.

You get fed up with it in the end. According to the club's official site this is our nominated squad of 25 senior players, we can add our own u21s (or u23s, I'm not sure) We have 27 named players including Agyei and McNeil.
Unless this list is wrong there is no more room for senior players, so why do we waste time and effort on pointless speculation. What you see is what you get!

Although the squad lists have been submitted the indications were that the EPL board would listen to amendments to that list if changes are brought about due to transfers with leagues where the transfer windows haven't shut/injuries.

That's why the squads haven't been officially announced on the PL site https://www.premierleague.com/publications" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You'll note that last season they were out a day or two after the deadline.

There was no way we'd sign a player like him, wages aside. He'd need a free role, and there's no such thing in a Dyche side. Not a criticism of dyche, he's been brilliantly successful in forming an approach that's made us competitive.

In what sense would it be commonsense?. I'm not advocating signing him, nor do I think he would have come, but if having him on loan and paying his wages for 8 months made the difference between staying up and going down, then it would make total financial sense to sign him.

Yes but it's impossible to know for certain if we would retain our PL status or get relegated with or without there lies the risk & it represents too much of a financial one, also it's worth considering his age, fitness & an array of other factors to make it overall viable.

I would have him tomorrow even if he only played 45 minutes.a game. He would create a number of chances, which is not happening at the moment. from which the strikers should be able to score goals

Totally agree, but my response was in reply to someone who effectively said - as a fact - that it was commonsense to be relegated rather than pay 8 months wages to YaYa and stay up.
Financially that would be nonsensical, but in reality - as you suggest - it would just be a gamble, (and not one that I would take).

It seems a strange complaint that Guardiola has never named a team with 5 non-naturalised Africans in it. I'm not aware of how common it is in Europe to play a side with 5 non-naturalised Africans - has it ever happened?
