Incident in Aldi where biker is asked to remove his open face helmet

I have a flip up helmet and always fill up with fuel and enter shop/garage to pay with visor fully up and have never encountered a problem. Fair play to the chap for walking out IMO

Dick head makes weak arse attempt at making some kind of weak arse point.

The guy has a point and TBH the store did not do themselves any favours by sending an email with the wording they did.....they dug themselves a hole with that.....

I read a similar story the other week in a petrol station. I think that was mentioned on here too.

He’s completely right in what he says and his video backs him up.

If he went back in with a burka would they have stopped him ? Thing I find interesting is the white manager says it is ok but the Asian security guard says it isn't. Double standards. It opens up a wider debate .

I always feel uncomfortable if some store assistant or security person follows around the shop and I have walked out without buying anything from there before now after letting the know I didn’t like how they made me feel.

You get a lot of security people on power trips though and not many that use common sense enough.

Interestingly I was at Manchester airport recently and there were a lot of women in the burka going through security and the body scanner seemingly without any further checks . Meanwhile I had to take my freaking shoes off.

Have there been any instances of burka-wearing women robbing shops or stores - other than in films, of course ?

This sort of thing happened to me several years ago, i pulled into a petrol station on my motor bike and was waiting to to put fuel in the tank, i kept pressing the trigger, nothing happened, i turned to the guy in the kiosk who was gesturing that i had to remove my crash helmet, meanwhile a woman on the next pump was happily filling up her car and yes you guessed, she was wearing a burka, not a word was said about that, i replaced the fuel nozzle without a drop being dispensed, i approached the attendant, my helmet still firmly on my head and asked him why did he not ask the lady to remove her burka, he just shrugged his shoulders, as you can imagine, i gave him a right bollockin, the guy was eastern european,i did call him a racist and went on my way to the next petrol station, no removal of crash helmet needed.

He's absolutely right in what he did.

You verbally abused someone for doing their job? You sound like a tool.

Sadly double standards are all the norm these days. My sister flew over here last week and going through security at Liverpool she was told she had to remove the silky-type scarf that was loosely hanging around her neck (it wasn't a footie scarf either!). This she did, but noticed another lady a few places behind with a similar scarf wrapped around her head and held under her chin with a broach/pin. This lady was allowed to go through without removing her scarf. I advised my sister that she should have agreed to remove the scarf from around her neck but then ask if security could just wait whilst she fastened the scarf around her head like the lady behind!

Some people must live very sad and empty lives to be constantly comparing how they feel they are treated compared to Muslims.

Can anyone explain what the Burka exists for? Fairly sure it's not a religious thing
