It may be thinner but we have been successful with the right characters rather than larger numbers with bigger egos.

Seems the "true professional" , " great team player" and "great character" are only evident when things are going his way, and he is starting games.

Well, it isnt like a Dyche player to "speak out of school". As soon as he sent the "I miss football" tweet it was clear he would be on his way out.

I’m guessing it is nasty to have a different opinion. I’m sure the vicar thinks he has been value for money. Probably equates to ten grand per minute on the pitch.

He has tweeted last week. Unnecessary and something none of our other players do.... I miss football....

Not his fault that he got injured and when fit he was simply not good enough to get in our team
So don't blame him for wanting to get game time and the only way was for him to go out on loan

Taking into account his loan to Ipswich is only until January, how will this affect our ability to move him on permanently in the next window?

He will only have six months left on his contract at that stage. So far he has played in one Europa game for us and he will undoubtedly play at least one game for Ipswich. We could have found a use for him now, but come January if we add to the squad and our prospects of staying up look good then I can't see a big need for him.

I'm note sure how his single Europa game affects his eligibility for club play. He can register for a third club in January, but could he play for them?

Will we be stuck with him soaking up a wage for the remainder of the season if Ipswich don't extend his loan?

Good luck to the lad though. His recent tweets where a bit iffy, but we starting the ball rolling in that department when we publicly deemed him surplus to requirements.

He's only soaking up a wage because we chose to offer him it. He is our mistake, we have to live with these sometimes.

Gutted. Played a massive role in the dressing room last season. Massive.

As for those moaning about him missing football, be quiet yer big tarts

Big tough men , top of alongside shouting ,we are burnley super burnley , no one like us , no one like us .......then we get the people on here saying " he shouldn't of tweeted that " etc etc . Just show how the government are changing society. The men of yesteryear have gone. The old school blokes will not be around in 20 years time. There encouraging this, making us agree to alsorts of things and making it acceptable, blokes kissing blokes on tv etc, just bang out of order, any one speaks up and there a bigot or what ever. Ive seen theres some sort of bra thing thats coming out for "men" . its just sad the way the world is now a days . So getting back to it shut the **** up about the tweets you ******* pansy ****

As stated further up the thread our squad now really is very thin. This week we have lost three players,two loaned out and yet another injury. Little,if any chance of additions from free agents. We're going to need some luck over the next 4 months........... as well as some results.

Good move for him. Was a clever signing on the face of it at the time for a multitude of reasons. Just hasnt worked out. Partly because of the injury he got at ewood from a nasty challenge by one of their **** houses.

Ipswich fans are over the moon at signing him. And stoke are gutted they lost him and didnt get him back.

Didnt work out here. Not the first and wont be the last. Always seemed a decebt character too. Shame to see the vitriol towards a player who was only ever guilty of collecting a wage we agreed to pay him.

Looking at Vokesy after tonight’s performance compared to Walters in Istanbul is the reason why one can be trusted and the other needs a little Spanish archer

Shouldn't have signed him in the first place, not PL quality even at our level. Hope he does well.

I often agree with you Cricketfield but you must find it a bit weird why Dyche has let him go (given our current depleted squad). Also I would argue that if we had a fully fit Charlie Austin or Danny Ings coming back after 10 years some of our fans may be over the moon.

It doesn't really matter why he's gone, if it frees up a place for Dwight McNeil then it's all for the best.

Walters was informed way back in May that he would probably need to move if he wanted first choice football.

He's now got his move and you're on here busily getting up to character assassination...

Good luck to him...I was one of those who thought he would be a useful addition to the squad ( or group) but it didn't work out. Hopefully he can be involved more at Ipswich barring more injuries. What has really gone on between him and the manager/coaching staff will probably never be revealed and neither should it.

I must say I'm surprised by this move given the thinness of our squad. Walters clearly needs game time and whose to say we've seen the last of him. His experience could very well prove pivotal for us in the new year.
