As if you wouldn't proof read and check the headline.

A 12 year old wouldn't miss that blooper.

Talking of proof reading. BBC Look North presenter Beckie Barr ( I think innocently) said Jimmy McIroy played for Blackburn, when reading out the News of his death.
Burnley born BBC chief Peter Salmon, would have cringed at that comment. I wonder if he made the person responsible for the mistake, suffer his wrath.

Sign of the times. Imagine errors of this scale a century ago.

Job gone no food on the table for your family.

All a sign of the changing times of the lazy nanny state.

   Error of this scale? Have you ever made an ultimately harmless mistake in your job?

I’m not sure such a small error would have resulted in a job loss a century ago.

To be fair, it's not that easy spotting these errors nowadays..

Imagine top headline after putting to press in 1918.

Sacked.

Probably the same people that proof read the match day programmes. Full of mistakes every programme.
