This is not good. The big corporations lobbying the EU, win again. On our way to censorship and new definitions of "fair use".

How will this effect uptheclarets as anyone posting a link to anything would incur a tax on said link so would site like this have to charge to cover possible costs, Have the Mod/ site admins looked into this?

I wouldn't worry about it. We are leaving the EU in 4756 hours.
It will take longer than that to get to court

This country loves red tape more than any other. We'll most likely keep this EU law after leaving and probably make it even stronger.
