Said on another thread id give Lennon a rest, play Hendrick in an Arfield kind of role and allow Vydra to play a proper number 10 role behind Barnes or Wood.

Also I'm not keen on all 5 midfielders starting and us just having 3 strikers to throw on as sometimes having a creative midfielder on the bench to change the game is whats needed

Does anyone think wood should play up top on his own?

The usual suspects for me, but I would like hendrick to play, just not behind the top man. I’d like wood to play, but not on his own up top.

Dyche has earned the right to select who he wants, where he wants. He will probably persevere with 4-4-1-1.

I think at the minute this gives us the best balance of a strong defence, compact midfield and a threat up top.

We'd be sacrificing the creativity of McNeil and pace of Lennon but Taylor and Lowton are both capable on the overlap.

Don't for a minute expect to stray from 4-4-2 but I think its a line-up that best plays to our strengths.

I'd be very happy to see that line up but would prefer to see Vokes in for Barnes as I think he would be a better partner for Vydra.

Would be a shame for McNeil although he would be first choice sub to replace one of the middle three.

I'm genuinely surprised at how few wouldn't put Tom Heaton (our club captain, btw) ahead of Joe Hart.

it will no doubt be Wood but I think I would partner Vokes with Vydra at the start for this one.

Thinking about it again and with the injury situation clarified now I would swap Lennon for JBG.

I would want Westwood to sit a little deeper and Hendrick to play a little further forward.

Surely anyone who watches us regularly has realised that our wingers are being told to constantly tuck infield and make us as narrow as possible? By playing this way Lennons main strength of hugging the touchline and taking his man on are completely negated. With Arfield and Boyd it didn't matter so much because neither of them were likely to create anything from the wide areas anyway.

You could make an argument for Westwood centrally and Hendrick wide left with only one of our preferred wingers starting (they both want the roght flank anyway), but Hendrick deserves his central starting berth.

Vydra off Vokes feels right - Vokes is our best line leader in a front two when he had runners getting up.and beyond him, and the pace of both Lennon and Vydra should provide that.

If Vydra does start, which I'd be a bit surprised if he does, as he's still not built up enough match fitness, would be behind Wood. Wood is the best striker with ball to feet and Vydra you can tell prefers the ball on the ground. If Vydra did start, we wouldn't need to lambast the ball forward and bypass the midfield. We can keep it on the ground and let Vydra run with it - which Wood would play better with.

If Vydra starts on the bench, then yeah - Vokes or Barnes.

This is the best side I've seen yet. Assuming Vydra is fit enough to start the game and as RV says, JBG isn't guaranteed to be ready.

Hendrick is one of our few goal threats,so give him some freedom to create and make runs from centre midfield,the main problem is whoever plays up top they have to hold the ball up far better,whether it's a lone striker or a pair,if we go for the lone striker option it can't be Wood he is too lightweight.

We have too carry an attacking threat,as if we park the bus for 90 minutes,Wolves will score.

Wood and Vokes are useful options from the bench,if we're still in the game with 20/30 minutes to play.
