A more emphatic 1-0 win.
Absolute garbage. Things need to change and quickly, or it's going to be a long hard season.
I'm normally positive too, but we don't look like scoring and it could have been a hell of a lot worse today.
I think I need to lie down in a dark room!

I said the same.
The most 1 sided contest I've seen for a long time.
We wouldn't create as much in a month in terms of goal scoring chances, as wolves did today in 90 minutes.

29 shots to 7 I think it was?
I can’t remember one shot by us, bar the Vydra chance.

Apparently we had TWO on target
Struggling to remember them though.

Don’t mention spending money on here , or the lack of signings haha. Back in the summer I was one of a number of posters on here that mentioned we needed a good few more signings including a winger, central midfielder and possibly a striker. Only to be shot down by the happy clappers who said we’d had a tremendous window! Wow!!!
Anyway we can’t blame just the window for today’s performance which was shocking. Zero composure, creativity or attacking nouse. We didn’t threaten Wolves at all.
It is scary just how much we miss Steven Defour, also Robbie Brady. Lennon is more of a last 15-20 mins player for me. He simply doesn’t affect the game enough.

Barnes hit one on target early on. But the word 'hit" is wrong given their keeper could've trapped it with his c0ck.

I agree with that bit. But even then - if you don't ask Lennon to take on his man - do not even have him in the squad.

There’s no point him playing if he doesn’t go at his man you’re correct. We’d be better shoving Hendricks in the Arfield role on the left and having Lennon on the bench, allowing JBG to play on the right. I’d rather see Barnes on the left than Lennon!

I'd rather see McNeil than any of them.

On a day of such misery from a Burnley perspective, that made me laugh

I don't think anyone could find a positive in that performance.

Thank God we weren't playing Liverpool or City.
We'd have run out of our alleged six fingers keeping count.

Not really. His interview is on another thread. He's not trying to disguise the performance.

We are currently now no better than a Championship side (and that's a Championship side lacking any sort of confidence at all). There doesn't seem to be any way out of this. If we think that this will improve sufficiently if Defour and/or Brady return to the side, then I suggest you think again!

Is the suggestion that our current squad cannot possibly win enough games to stay up and never has been able to, even with Defour and Brady fit? Or that the current squad used to be good enough but never will be again? Or that it used to be good enough and is currently out of form? Or that you're in a bad mood because we're lost and you're a bit cross?
Presumably it's one of those four. And if you think it's the first, you're wrong, and if you think it's the third, then the way out is obvious.

If it's not 0-0 it's a defeat. We have morphed into a poor dull boring team. Or been moulded into one.

Just wondering what ray of light you can see for us based on the 11 games we have played so far. I'm desperately looking for one. Add to those 11 the inept end to last season (yes, I know we finished 7th) and both the short term and long term doesn't look too bright.

We know these players are good enough to win games, because they proved it last year; I don't see any reason to believe they can't get that back.

Well they'd better get it back quick then, the only players to emerge with any credit from that farce are Hart,Tarks,Hendrick just, and Vydra has surely earned a start next week.

There will be three teams relegated at the end of the season and anything achieved last season will have no bearing on it. Regular defeats(some of them flattering us) will see us as one of those three. I hope it doesn't happen but the end of last season and the continuation this term more than suggests we may be one of those three.

Agree with your remarks but who else can play but the same players who played yesterday or were on the bench. The club does not have a youth policy so the current squad know that there is no one pushing for a place in the team.
