I know I’m going to get shot down, but I don’t find him funny in the slightest.

A boyhood City fan but switched to United in the 1990s, great football fan.

Aye and by the sounds of it nobody thought your performance Tuesday night was funny either ;)

I thought Idiot Abroad was hilarious in the first series but it slowly got a bit repetitive. This new series of his I hoped the feature of there being two of him would be used as an intro. But its now into episode 2 and it doen't work, so it's a no from me.

Just the kind of thing I hate. Not a proper fan at all. Absolutely pathetic.

Me neither. Made his name on the back of another person who isn't funny. Ricky Gervais. For some reason I lumped him in with the Paddy McGuinness, Dave Spikey 'on the coat tails of' Peter Kay group. Don't find them funny either, Kay aside, who is ok but his shows all seem a bit samey.
I'll take a 3-1 though.

The whole moaning, self-deprecating thing was ok for a series, but has
now become really tiresome. Stuff like that usually does. He's actually become a parody
of himself and seems a rather pitiful figure.

He's not really funny for me, either.

The ratings for Gervais’ stand up show on Netflix would suggest differently.

There's a consensus that it was Kay who pinched all of Spikey's work with Phoenix Nights and took all the glory...

Exactly right
Peter Kay’s Phoenix nights
Peter Kay’s Car Share
Peter Kay’s up his own arse

Humour is subjective. Each to their own. As a general rule though my sense of humour is pretty wide ranging.

Absolutely. Some people actually find Sarah Millican funny, for instance. Then again, some people enjoy being tied to a bed and whipped until they bleed.

I would rather endure the latter than listen to Millican

I thought he was from over Staffordshire way so had him down as a Stoke or port vale fan.

Comes across as trying a bit too hard to be unimpressed. Two episodes and it was done...

Belittles everything he comes across, despite everyone else on the planet realising what he's looking at is a big deal.

I get that humour is subjective.... I can listen to Sara Millican, but I know there's people out there who like Miranda Hart, which baffles me.

Tied to a bed and whipped until I bleed by both Miranda Hart and Sarah Millican, pure heaven.
