I feel bad even starting the thread, I used to do volunteer work for age concern so still talk to old people time to time, I just felt with what's going on it should be discussed ideally on a broader stage, I'll try to delete the post if I can.

The ridiculous idea that because , after 2 years following the Vote, those that were 16 then, are now 18 but didn't get a vote! So we should now have a rerun! Means we would be in a perpetual state of Neverendums as there'll always be 16 year olds......

- The commercialization of education leading to starting life with huge debts
- The first generation to be poorer in real terms than the one before
- Inheritance the largest factor in someones wealth since Edwardian times
- Owning a home a near impossible dream unless propped up by the wealth of your parents.
- Ever increasing amounts of tax going to healthcare for the growing aged population whilst money for things they use schools, services, communities, roads cut.
- Large numbers of young people expecting to work until death.

That's all good & well & by that same token, it's a simple case of post 2016 old people feeling alienated without exploring a myriad of other factors, some old people still have they marbles intact as another poster eloquently implied differently. In my view the old people are more with it than the younger people I'm actually suggesting it's warped.

My son in law is studying economics at Warwick. He's in his 3rd year but just started it at Queens university in Kingston Canada.

Last time I looked , Canada isn't in the EU.....
