• Power off whie maintainance done

Bloody hell int it boring without electrickery.....

Power went off 9.35am for a couple of hours (supposedly) for maintainance on the Cables....

4 hours later still off bah humbug....

This must be what it was like to be a Brinze* Age Peasant...

When i lived in Thailand we suffered power outages all the time.....the longest one we had was 6 days.......that was a pain in the harris! Usually happened coming out of hot season into rainy season and the pylons would blow up.....used to hear them go bang regular!

On first seeing this I thought it read 'power outrages' which sort of seems appropriate.

Still not on ... the Mrs rang them 2 hours ago and was told "back on within the hour" .... I told the wife she should have asked which bloody hour

Also live in a village in North Yorkshire. We had something similar a few weeks ago. Supposed to be off from 9am to 4pm. They hit unexpected problems. Came back on at midnight but only then because they connected up a generator which remained in place for 4 days. A number of my neighbours kicked off with the result that they have offered each house £75 in compensation. To be fair the cheque came effectively by return of post.
