Do they have a point, or are they way over the top?

I think this is just the next thing that's on the list for people to be 'offended' by.

It's amazing that some people really have nothing better to do.

Go and find something important to moan/complain/campaign about, yer sad, sad individuals.

If it follows the usual pattern, M&S will make an apology and change the display. If they do what most folk would like them to - they'll tell the complainers to get an effin' life and do something better with their time.

So okay all you supporters of poilitcal correctness (and there are numerous on here) this is the stupidity to which we are heading. Soon we will all have to wear the same clothes, have the same hairstyles, have invented gender unspecific names, refer to each other as 'person' when greeting each other and have written consent before indulging in sex.

F***ing madness.

claret 2018 not impressed with that -

'I don't like political correctness, because of some stuff I just made up'..

- let's have a little look at how this works with me..

Do I wear the same clothes as everyone else? = NO
Do I have same hairstyle as everyone else? = NO
Do I have an invented gender unspecific name = NO
Do I refer to my friend's as 'person' when greeting them = definitely not
Do I insist on written consent before sex = no way

Looks like I will have to go with claret2018..'it's just all made up stuff..

Bang on. Exactly what I thought when I first read this. Mind you, I'd look like a fat little middle aged git in the blokes clothes they are displaying

Find a dictionary and look up the word hypothetical. How do you even get through life being so literal? And while you are rhyming off my wrong information or 'made up stuff' look up the word hyperbole. I'll save you the time, it's some thing said in an exaggerated way in order to emphasise a point. So there you are, you just wasted a great deal of time proving nothing at all.
Next time I post something I'll make sure that all my facts are correct, together with supporting 'links' to various websites that show that I am 'right'. I'll make sure that it takes me a few hours to find all the right information so that the pedantic minority aren't offended by my misinformation and everything can be proved, categorised, double checked and made available for public consumption.

Oops, there I go again with my hyperbole, mustn't offend the pedantic.

This outrage culture is great fun

OUTRAGE by the feminist groups against the allegedly sexist display, and then highly ironic secondary OUTRAGE by some against the first lot of outragers for expressing their OUTRAGE.

I'm starting the third wave of utter OUTRAGE now against the secondary lot for expressing their own OUTRAGE at the first lot's OUTRAGE as it's all a massive waste of time, and won't be remembered at all by next week's fresh new OUTRAGE.

But hey, at least it sells papers (or in this case generates traffic to BBC News's webpage)

These feminists Neanderthals need to realise it's 2018.
They should be jailed for assuming the gender of persons wanting to buy themselves some knickers.
Narrow minded views like there's belong in 2017

It’s the comment in the article about must haves being food, shelter and warmth! **** me, would they have been Ok with it if it had said “nice to haves”?

No doubt they would be vomit inducing if the unkempt moaners were to don a pair - a Brazilian would be the must have then.

If we took every advertising slogan literally, the industry would be shagged.

I must type knockers more often than knickers for whatever reason

I bet m and s are devastated that the BBC, who they can't advertise with, are freely drawing attention to an advert that a lot of people wouldn't have paid attention to in the first place.

One person has an odd opinion and it makes the BBC news. Why is this even being talked about?

I might got to greggs and complain that the sausage rolls are racist and see if I can get in the paper.

I had to check it wasn't the daily mash!

‘Sausage roll’ gives the impression of a male pastry, these should be called genital rolls and be non gender specific.
And don’t go near the chocolate muffin!
