Just read the article and......wow Brighton fans so deluded, nearly said they are so far up their own arses but not allowed to say that.

I must have been down having my pie when the 'racist & homophobic' stuff happened.

They were the better side but that's how we roll ! we had a 10 minute spell before we scored and another good spell early second half when we should have killed the game , if I was them I would be pretty ****** off too but hey ho hopefully many more teams will feel that way this season !

I don't think they played well. We could have easily had 2 or 3. Plenty of sour grapes there, but I imagine it would be exactly the same had the shoe been on the other foot.

As for the time wasting... that's karma for their behaviour first half.

Horrible club, horrible fans. And they get a free pass to abuse who they want every week because there’s no comeback.

I’m not a racist, nor am I having sex with my sister, but I get that thrown at me when we play them. I take it because it’s bants and it’s par for the course but Isn’t there a law or something to protect me from this abuse?

God forbid I retaliate by suggesting that they have sex with members of the same sex. There is of course a law against that.

Oh, how I love love loveee beating them.

Haven't looked at their forum - made that mistake after the 2-2 draw in our Championship winning season. It seemed to be totally unregulated.

Anyway, best thing about this is it's probably the first time this season opposition fans don't think we were very good, they were clearly the better team etc. - yet we won and kept a clean sheet. Reminiscent of 17/18 so will be happy if we provoke more of the same reaction from now on.

We were crap. The weather was crap. The ref was crap (for us - no pen?) Yet they still couldnt beat us. After driving all that way (The very few that bothered) to see that no wonder they are ****** off.

Its not like they were barcelona. They had ONE shot on target.

Re time wasting. They have a point. It was disgraceful. I mean wasting time at 0-0 Matt Ryan? I can fully understand why they are so wound up!!!

Worst team we’ve faced this season. They came to a very out of form team in Burnley and set out with absolutely no ambition to win the game. Awful time wasting antics from the first minute which was hilariously thrown back in their face with equally blatant time wasting from us in the second half. They huffed and puffed in the last 20 mins but never really looked like scoring. Sweet victory against a very odd bunch of fans.

A set of fans with a massive chip on their shoulder. It is usual to say it is a minority but i genuinely feel it is the majority at that horrid sh*thouse of a club. The comments section on their local paper The Argus will be just as bad if last season is anything to go by.
Not so long since they had a sh*t team, no fans, no ground (not to mention no history of winning anything significant) and were begging for help. Now it has all gone plastic.
They remind me of Stockport fans back in the day. No history..no reason to have a rivalry and yet seem to have a massive complex about us. F*ck em!

Don't know how they can moan about hoofball they played just as many if not more than us both styles of play were very similar we just did more with our possession.
There time wasting in the first ten mins at 0-0 so how can they moan.

Hughton thinks they were the better side As deluded as their fans then. One poor header on target and they were better.

It was a pretty poor game
Haven't seen the stats but to say they were the better side would at the very least suggest your an extremely unbiased supporter

Short memories. We should be taking buckets along to remind them.
BTW they were awful. 1 shot on target and they created nothing until late on when we were sat in successfully defending our lead.

If you watch that as a fair minded Brighton fan, you'd be thinking "Crikey, we can't play like that again"

They were terrible, toothless up front and not interested in attacking till they had gone 1-0 down. Bit weird really, as our confidence looked shot at times.

Brighton by far the worst side we have played this season.How they were 10 th I don’t know.
The only way they could have snatched a goal was by lumping it in the area like they did last 20 mins they couldn’t play football or get through us so brought on “slug” Murray who didn’t win an header.
Gives us hope of pulling clear if there is sh1t like that above us.
There only wound up because of the wooden seats they prefer sitting on something more comfortable I’ve heard

Maybe it's a generational thing but I find it hard to take them seriously

When I think Brighton I put them in the same grouping as say Reading, Oxford, Swindon - in the bigger picture, football non-entities temporarily projected into the higher reaches of the game by a rich benefactor. Their insecurity is based on the fact that they have no history or tradition and as a result have little or no external respect from anyone outside of the Sky TV generation.

They've got a genuine hardcore of fans who go back to the Goldstone Ground/lower leagues and with due respect to them they were the people who kept the club alive when it seemed to be on its death-bed but it's difficult to think of another PL club with a similar proportion of short-term plastic fans who will inevitably revert to supporting Chelsea/Arsenal/Tottenham when their brief period in the sun has passed.

I like Chris Hughton though - excellent manager/decent bloke

I will re read in full.this Board of late has been very toxic be it against players or Sean dyche.having read it again I've seen a lot lot worse on here...

Only been to their ground once and talking to some of the better brighton fans even they admitted quite a lot of their fans were more interested in the chelsea score than the game they had just watched.

Difficult for either team to play well in those conditions but Burnley were the better side and deserved the 3 points.
