Another pic from today, taken by a friend of mine from what will be her seat. I think they must have had an open day ahead of the test events.

Looking at the picture, putting a rail behind the seat offers a bit more protection from 'the bloke behind you' or even worse, small children kicking the back of one's head. it defines personal space better.

The bottom picture though, identifies NWHL as a media indoctrination pit. THREE BANDS of electronic signalling. Ridiculous! One band is one too many.

let's hope we are still in the division to visit next season !

Well it looks very good I must say..but it has been said not to judge a book by it's cover as well.

One test I want all new grounds to pass is the "do we get wet" when it pizzles down with rain?

They also have what I imagine to be a first when it comes to your half time pint, when they serve it the glass fills from the bottom.

A good idea, just put the rail seats in and then say “it’s a seating area, honest!”

I think the point is that if you buy a ticket for that section it's probably because you want to stand.

There was a video on twitter showing a girl pouring pints - where the pint glass (plastic) was put on a thing and it filled up from underneath

It's London ....they're far more advanced.

So is it clear that way is going to operate? as I thought the original plan was to give "all" people if they like to sit or stand in the same area the "choice" without affecting other peoples view/space in the same area.

Therefore simply giving each paying fan/customer the right and fair consideration.

Once implemented with a change of legislation it will be a standing area. People who have bought season tickets in that area are fully aware of the situation. There won't be any sitting.

At last ! It would be great to be able to sit down on a seat which I have paid for rather than having to stand to watch a game !! The major difference would be the option of seating or standing for all home and away fans as in Germany. Eventually we may even be able to have a drink whilst watching a match as in Germany or as at a rugby match in England....

I think they already have STs for the new ground which all get cancelled for every match at Wembley and you have to purchase a new ticket.

That's why they're getting lower gates there.

So it will revert back to ST when it eventually opens.

Didn’t know that until Saturday. A Spurs fan told us they get a refund on their season ticket every time they play at Wembley but then have to purchase a ticket.

The capacity, for whatever reason, has now been reduced to 51,000 for Spurs games at Wembley.

Looks good.

Thanks Tony I misinterpreted the way it will work, it won't affect me for home games but will at away.

If and when standing areas are permitted it would then mean we also have seating areas as well.

Spurs have done this brilliantly because the seats in there look just like the other seats in the stadium.

They did, I got the info initially from a friend of mine who was in there. She's described the whole stadium as breathtaking.

I sit in the upper tier of JHU near the front, and even though the roof extends over us we still get rained on thanks to our horizontal rain in Lancashire

The ground does look great, but it doesn't look as though it will shelter many from the rain.

Does the roof move? In the position on the pictures it looks like it will do sweet F all to shelter the fans.

Not sure why it needed to be designed so obviously lacking in cover from the elements, unless the pictures are very deceptive. Though the ground does look fantastic, for a new one.

I never understand why the roof of new grounds can’t lean right towards the pitch, as opposed to skywards. Surely it would be better for atmosphere and keep out the rain.

I sit about 10 rows back on the top tier and get wet at times!

We could do with roofs like Chelsea’s stand on the side which more than covers the seats, and leans down at the front. Pretty sure Newcastle’s home end behind the goal angles down too.

Yes, I was speaking with Spurs fan after the game. They have a window to get their ticket at Wembley, miss it and the seat is available for someone else. Similarly, if they forget to ask for their refund, they might miss out on getting their money back.

Brent Council reduced the capacity for Spurs games because they've gone beyond the original crowd limits. I think it started beginning of Dec. It may be that the capacity can be increased for Champions League - if they aren't in NWHL by then.

How many were seated on Saturday? It looked like Wembley were trying out "rail standing."

Saturday I was wishing that they'd close the Wembley roof - even though I was well back and not getting wet..... but that cold icy wind was something else.

the capacity reduction is something to do with the agreement they signed with the local council, don't remember the complete facts but it's something to do with not having too many people too often bothering the locals
