Ever feel like you're being watched?

Post by clarethomer » Wed Dec 19, 2018 6:12 pm

Came across this on social media..

The photo on the link below is captured by Chinese Satellite with 24.9 billion pixels of quantum technology.

It's worth seeing! You can zoom in, zoom out when you look at it. You can clearly see every gesture, even face of pedestrians on the road.

Amazing the quality of detail that can be seen.

Must be a low flying satellite. As you say, though, terrific resolution.

You sure that’s from a satellite?

If you zoom out and “level” the view, it’s below clouds & looks to be at building height, which would be more likely from a high quailty drone

Fantastic quality though

It looks to be taken from some sort of tower. Perhaps the Shanghai TV tower. Not a satellite.

Just repeating how it was described. Thought it was pretty impressive whatever it was.

looks like a telescope upon further investigation

Maybe the key for Mike Rigg spotting some talent no one else can in the january transfer window.

Here is another one...

It’s from the top of a skyscraper - there’s several cities done with it. It takes 2 months to process the data

Cheers folks, glad you liked it. It’s amazing what you can do with a Polaroid these days.

I wish my Swarovski telescope had a zoom on it, as good as that. I was zooming in around the picture and spotted a Little Egret round the river bank bend, just past the berthed cruisers. Someone's crouched down nearby taking a photo of it.
That is amazing picture and telescope. As they say " big brother is watching you".

Remember Chelsea away game last year, first game, they had some photographer do a picture(s) of the crowd and you could zoom in on anyone in the crowd and see them perfectly clearly?

This company does a fair few of them. This is a London one from the top of the BT Tower http://360gigapixels.com/london-320-gigapixel-panorama/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Blue peter showed us all how to make one.....out of wire coat hangers!

(And at this time of year, you can attach four candles and you've got a lovely advent wreath!)
