Use Tesco if you like for cheap fertiliser food if you care little about taste and quality, but you only have your self to blame if you become a lardo over time.

Xray the eggies and you can see (well not an actual xray but pass a high intensity lamp behind them and it shows up the yoke)

We shop in Topsham Steve for everything except veg, instead we get a veg box delivered weekly from this Organic farm in Devon
https://www.shillingfordorganics.co.uk/all" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; good local fresh stuff with no chemicals of additives precent.
Doubt if they deliver out of Devon but nearly everywhere has now got a real food veg supplier pretty I think.

Having fresh organic food delivered right from the farm to your door is a luxury that many cannot afford. Also, having a go at people for shopping at Tesco is pretty low form.

Tesco is bloody well expensive compared to the other supermarkets, and especially compared to butchers/greengrocers etc.
My local butcher does chicken breast fillets about £3 a kilo cheaper than Tesco. Much better quality.

Chris, it could have been any supermarket. He might have said the same if it was Asda or Lidl.

Thats not true at all it certainly is not a luxury food, it is a necessity especially if you have young children to feed.

I use Tesco online when the wine offer is on. Tramshed and Jamshed £4.50 this week. I tick the no substitute box. Never had a problem.

I would imagine that it will cost less than 2 packets of cigs. Funny how a lot of those that can’t afford good food manage to afford to smoke

Fresh veg is a necessity, it's having it organic that's the luxury because organic is more expensive. Ordinary fresh or frozen veg is dirt cheap.

Again not true if the long term health of the buyer or his family is thinking long term.

There's no difference in life expectancy of someone who eats plenty of standard veg as opposed to someone who eats plenty of organic veg - apart from the usual difference that the rich live longer.

Evidence please ? nothing to do with being rich or not and then there is the question of taste as well, try a carrot for instance one organic and one not and then tell me organic does not taste like a real carrot should taste like ... because it does whist the other one tastes nothing like a real carrot.

If you're now saying that a mega field of carrots grown with manure tastes vastly better than a mega field of carrots grown with phosphates, I have my doubts. If there is a difference, it's more likely to be a more expensive breed of carrot than the way it is grown.
But be that as it may, the better tasting carrot is still a luxury item as opposed to a necessity. If you are short of money, a second hand car may be necessity but a new one is luxury; ordinary clothes are necessity but designer clothes (whatever they may be!) are luxury; and cheap food is necessity but more expensive food that tastes better is luxury.

Yet again you fail to understand the reasoning, Have you actually tasted organic carrots? and or compared them with fertiliser/chemically grown carrots from supermarkets?
And where did you get this mistaken idea that Organic food is a luxury?

I’ve been doing my shopping on Ocado for the past 4 or 5 months and can’t rate it highly enough. Ive only ever had one substitute, when I used to do Asda online I’d have about 3 every week.
Ocado also price match Tesco so I get an email every week telling me how much cheaper my shopping was than the equivalent at Tesco, or as was the case this week I got a £6 voucher towards my next shop.
