Should have been on the pitch after about 20 minutes. It was so obvious by then that we needed someone out there who could show a bit of passion and leadership.

I could see the logic in trying Lowton. But he played at the expense of our most committed, best performer of the last month.

Sorry. I couldn't see any logic at all in effectively making 3 changes to the back 5.

Decent few performances with settled back line then drop two of them go figure!

Goes against Dyche's mantra of players keeping the shirt if they perform,he might argue it's squad rotation, but it's not his usual style to drop guys who are doing OK.

Lowtons a bit more athletic and better delivery. But at the expense of a player whos been up for the battle and played well is a bit baffling on reflection.

Corrected that for you

100% Bardsley should have stayed in for his passion, drive and (this season) more forward threat

We don’t have a single full back that can play in a 5. Plodders the lot of them, I can excuse Bardsley because he was an old lad bought for the dressing room along with his mate Walts (I assume). Can’t excuse signing a couple of absolute carthorses for big money from Leeds in the shape of Taylor and Wood.
Too many bad signings I’m afraid.

Strange thing is, neither Wood nor Taylor were deemed carthorses by Leeds fans I know, far from it, they were gutted to lose them.
Perhaps it's the way we play which simply doesn't suite either of them

Bardsley back for the next match. I think Lowton is suspended.

Says it all that Phil Bardsley is now the player we look to for our inspiration.
Says even more that he was one who was dropped today. Total ineptitude.

You realise just how bad things have become if we're relying on Bardsley returning.

The difference between Bardsley and Lowts is attitude.
Bardsley plays and acts positively, Lowts is so negative. That difference in attitude though creates a chasm.
Bardsley HAS to start. Simples

From what I’ve seen of Barsdsly play him at home and Lowton away and see how that goes.

Tough call on Bardsley as he has been effective against the north London clubs. We paid the price for this tinkering for sure. Should we have stuck with the defence that worked well enough in our last two games?
