Gudmundson has always been good though....one of our most under rated players....Bardsleys grit is exactly what we need...if he stays fit or suspension free I don't want to see lowton anywhere near our first team....he needs to drop a division or 2 on current form.

if you have player that runs at people or can get a foot on it when it looks lost, even if they lose it it changes the shape of the opposition. The space created allows us to pick the second/deflected/tackled ball and that is when we create. Southgate's England do much the same.

The thing about him is he will constantly look for and try the cross. A good few times it didnt come off. But it doesnt matter. Hes not scared of trying.

He tired in 2nd half but first half he was the main reason the play was stretched and it meant our players had a bit more time on the ball.....lets take into account just how poor west ham were though....I think we surprised them today....Huddersfield will be tougher....but every aspect of our play was better today because we played on the front foot instead of just waiting for them to score...its as if Dyche targeted this as a must win game.....just hope we can mirror todays efforts against Huddersfield.

Phenomenal from the young lad today in a pressure game for us. Looked to go forward every time he got the ball and never lost it. So rare to see a young player with such upper body strength. Very hard to knock him off the ball.

He’ll go far. Also credit to Dyche for picking him.

Really like this lad, he did tire the last 15 but I think it will have done him good to know he can get through the full 90+ mins. Keeps his place for me.

yep he is still developing his strength but the qualities he has including being 2 footed mean that in a year or 2 we could have someone who we couldnt afford ( or wouldnt buy )....if he isnt ready for 90 minutes then lets try and start him and get him to give us a blinding 60 minutes....sd often likes to sub with 25 or 30 minutes to go.

Done more in this game than Lennon all season..

Brilliant game. Bardsley just shaded him for Motm imo. But it's brilliant having a winger who tries to take on a man.

The only negative and I hate to be picky after an excellent showing but Antonio made him look like a carthorse a few times and he was blowing hard for the last 20mins.

We knew he had something when he played in the Europa at the start of the season. You have to ask why on Earth he hasn’t been in the team at all in the last few months. Moving in the right direction now. Hope it continues. All Dyche has to do now is learn when to make subs, McNeil and Wood were exhausted and should’ve been subbed much earlier. Hope they’ll be fine for Wednesday.

We were comfortable and there were no natural replacements for Wood or McNeill on the bench so Dyche rightly held on with what we had.

Outstanding. Looked jaded on 75 mins, thought SD should have subbed him for Hendrick and Vokes for Wood at that time, would give them more recovery time for Wednesday, but as said he (McNeil) should be well pleased with his performance.

I hope he's not asking clubs to get on the phone to his agent...

I was worried by Dyche's decision to introduce McNeill today - I wasn't sure he was ready (based primarily on the evidence of 30 minutes against Everton), and I wondered if it was a bit of a desperate roll of the dice from Dyche. Delighted by how wrong that proved to be.

For an 18 year old, his composure and poise are really quite something. His confidence to look forwards and try things - even if they didn't all come off - and his intelligence and appreciation of space and angles were equally impressive. Of course he made mistakes - a couple of times he wanted a bit too much time on the ball, including on time when a first-time shot was on inside the box in the first half - but he's bound to; he's 18.

He definitely tired a bit in the last 20 minutes, and so it woudn't be a total surprise if Dyche decided to give him a rest against Huddersfield. He needs to be handled with a care - he's making a huge step up. But the evidence so far is he's a seriously exciting prospect.

Wouldn't disagree with that AG, but roaming from the left hand side seemed to suit him nicely as well. He's got the ability to find space from there.

I'm not comparing him in terms of ability - it is way to early for that - but there's a touch of the Christian Eriksen's about his style of play.

Was magnificent today and nearly had a couple more goals to go with it. Was really unlucky with the one that went just wide.
Even the great Fabianski wouldn't of saved it.

I thought his goal had gone in the side netting as he didn't look to have any room to score.

He will learn just how quickly you get closed down in the premier league as he keeps on improving.

Did really well today. Definitely 'blowing' in the last 15 minutes but if he wants to retain his place in the team he has to get used to it. He's young and I can't subscribe to the notion of some on here that Wednesday's game will come a little early for him. After today he must be eagerly awaiting the next fixture.

Brilliant game. As a teenager he shouldn't be knackered for Wednesday. Same again please.

Music to my ears and i am hearing it a lot from the media too. Whenever Burnley do well, everyone states the opposition had a poor day. Absolutely fantastic to hear, but in reality we made them look poor and the couldn't compete.
