Your moment of 2018

As per the subject...

Tough call. Narrowly missing out for me is Sam’s equaliser up in Aberdeen. What a night that was!

However, taking my vote, it’s our second half performance away at West Ham, where we scored three goals (Barnes, Wood x2), whilst the atmosphere inside the London Stadiym grew increasingly hostile. However, it was the sheer class manner in which our club stood tall that day; the connection between the players and fans - our relatively low budget side sweeping away the big spending Hammers. To then get a standing ovation from the home fans when our squad left the pitch, said everything!

Would be keen to have your highlight.

All the best for 2019 and let’s keep it Claret!

J

West Ham was great and that 5 game run. Qualifying for Europe even better.

But for me it has to be Aberdeen. Sure it wasnt Barcelona or Milan. But we were back in Europe. And for many of us for the first time.

The whole experience. The build up. The day in the square. The atmosphere. The late goal. And most of all the welcome we got. Exactly what an away day should be.

We might not have progressed as far as we could or should. But I will never forget those games. But that one in particular.

Athens with my lads.

The atmosphere was something I've never witnessed in nearly 30 years of watching the clarets. From picking the tickets up around midday until leaving the ground after midnight was just Burnley songs ringing around the city.
We had booked a hotel near the arranged square but didn't know exactly how to get there through the little side streets. As soon as we came out of the hotel the noise was incredible though.

My lads love hearing about the atmospheres of the 90s but this was better.

My moment of the year - with a Clarets connection - celebrating my 65th birthday with my colleagues at work. Earlier in the year I returned to work 2 years after leaving plus a heart attack. I thought I'd retired; I'm now planning to complete 2 years back at work. The Clarets connection - a Clarets birthday card and a birthday cake decorated in the new Laba360 shirt.

I was in the US - with work - for a large part of the Europa League adventure. I'm looking forward to the next time the Clarets are back in Europe.

Has to be a toss up between Aberdeen and Athens for me. If I had to choose one Aberdeen probably just shades it.

Sadly I wasn’t able to get to the away games but seeing European footy on the Turf was still very special.

Athens has to top all of my 40+ years home and away watching Burnley.

The atmosphere that day and night was unbelievable.

But post 7 on this thread is the best moment of 2018 without a doubt and should have happened months earlier but that's life.

Ditto fella, lots didn’t, through a combination of circumstances, tickets permitting & financial circumstances wasn’t a runner, weigh in when you can.
