A must win game this one, our fixtures after this look really tough, if we can reproduce the form we showed against Wet Spam, we can edge our way to a bit of safety, we have improved recently so a bit more improvement will see us ok.

We would have to be at our best for away wins at Watford or Brighton. Maybe scrape draws.

Home games against bottom half teams are must win, but we have a great record at home in the premier league against all bar top 6.

Why do people insist on calling clubs childish names like wet spam and manure? Is it really that difficult to write west ham? I know I got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning but it just grinds my gears.

Not quite a 'must win' game for me but certainly 'must not lose.'
A defeat would send us right back in the mix and seriously dent our confidence.

It's probably a must win for Fulham though as if they lost to us we'd be
7 points ahead with a much better goal difference.

If we do beat them we're on the way and it's probably between us, Southampton, Cardiff and Newcastle
fighting it out not to be the third team to go down. Unless Palace and/or Brighton implode big time.

We've still got to play Southampton, Cardiff and Palace at home. Newcastle and Brighton away.
A decent amount of points against those (say 8 or 9 at least with a win against Cardiff) would probably go a long way to ensure
we're in with a good chance of staying up but wouldn't wish to predict the outcome of those games.

Think 34/35 points might suffice this season.

Let's try and get three points on the board against Fulham to take us to 21 and
then it's each game as it comes.

Fulham away was one of our abject early season 'performances' and we need to put that to rights.

Not to mention our historical home form against the Cottagers.

It is not a must win game.

It's an important game, but perspective is needed.

My perspective is that if we can't win this we are in trouble.

We're already in trouble. If we draw with Fulham, we'll still be 4 points ahead of Fulham, and we'll still be well in touch with plenty of other teams.

The task was always 4 points from Fulham and Huddersfield. 6 would be wonderful, and would go a long way towards getting us safe, but it's not essential.

But I still think we have to win this one.

Following our win at Udders which was utterly massive for us and pretty much a terminal disaster for them, it now becomes imperative that we follow it with exactly the same against this lot. A win for us and we're definitely looking up and even I'll think we'll survive, but more importantly it means Fulham might as well start preparing for the Championship, just like Udders.

Given our precarious position in the league table, ALL future home games against fellow ‘bottom feeders’ are more or less MUST wins. We need to put some daylight between the bottom 3 and us.

If we win it on Saturday I can see a bottom 3 at the end of the season of Udders, Fulham and Cardiff. Yes The Bluebirds have needed less life support from the machine just recently, but I still believe that's just a flash in the pan in their ultimate demise. If we don't win it we allow Fulham to stay in touching distance and give them renewed hope.

Agreed. 4 wins in a row will be superb for confidence going forwards and keeps or increases the gap between us and the other strugglers.
Huge game, I would say must win. Our position is still very precarious, our last 4 games of the run in are horrendous. We need to have as many points on the board as possible by thhat time.

There were plenty of cars with tickets on after last Saturdays game with Barnsley, mostly for parking across dropped kerbs. Its the same after every Saturday game.
People see the space at the end of a street and just park there regardless of there being a dropped kerb.

The wardens are out around the streets near Turf Moor because they know they will be able to hand out parking tickets.
So beware!

Someone told me a few years back they arrived about 15:10 on scooters. Probably still do.

But a win is likely to bring us as almost as close to Brighton (6 pts) as the gap could open up to Southampton (5 pts).

We'd only be six points behind them if they lose to Liverpool and we win - likely based on current form.

Likewise Bournemouth.

Some forget that a few wins in a row completely closes the gap between the teams above us.

For most sides in this league putting sequences together is very hard. I'd say it's a must win just because we need to make most of the run we're on.

A few weeks ago Watford away would have been a tough game. Keep our run going and players will be really confident of getting a result.
